Anyone have a polished frame? What would it take to get it back to a factory like finish? I'm looking at a bike that has the frame polished but I don't really like it. Should this hold me up from buying it? |

You can paint it if you'd like. If the bike is at a good price, and has low miles etc, I wouldn't let it stop me from buying. What year? What model? Miles? Price? ...? |

Buell sell's the paint in aresol can. Its really great paint and durable. It sprays very even so it should be real easy to bring it back. |

Its really great paint and durable Until you spill a little bit of gas on it. I think the aerosol is meant to be touch up paint. I wouldn't want my entire frame painted with it unless you put clear coat over it. Maybe a couple of layers of wax instead of clear coat would help maintain it? |

It wouldn't stop me from buying it. All the more reason to take it all the way apart and powdercoat it what ever color your heart desires! |

or scotchbrite it to a nice matte finish like the XBRR frames. |

Or take it to your local Line-X shop for that nasty, devil may care, ride it till you crash it, streetfighter look. If you follow.

If it feels good do it! As long as you aren't drilling "speed holes" in the frame! (Message edited by diablobrian on November 09, 2007) |

As long as you aren't drilling "speed holes" in the frame! I always love a good Simpsons reference.

Maybe a couple of layers of wax instead of clear coat would help maintain it? I painted a entire tail section with it. No problems with it at all. Its in your prep work. It spray's very uniform for what its. |
