all right, so I popped one and she got away from me. The tail is pretty mangled and I'm thinking now might be a good time to look for an undertail kit. Anyone have any good suggestions on a method to do this? All I've seen so far is a $350 option for a relocator, but I'm not looking to spend that much. Any suggestions, links, offers? |

how bad is your screwed up? If you had a stock one you might be able to send what you have left to one of our sponsor's to have it cut or do it your self. Its not that bad of a job, pretty easy to do in a weekend. |

I just have the stock pasta strainer thing Here's a picture of what the tail looks like, it's pretty much the only damage on the back end where it kicked the street, the rest is on the left side where it fell, but that's another story.

It's hard for me to tell from the photo but if the portion of the tail where the side rails bolt up and the tail light lens bolts up is ok then you can use our license plate relocator bracket ($31.95). You cut the cheese grater off (is this what is damaged on yours?) sand, paint, and bolt it back on. You can see the bracket along with installation instructions at http://www.darkhorsemoto.com The kit comes complete with the bracket, installation instructions, and stainless steel hardware. Just click on the link above, "Products", and then "Misc Products". You can even view the installation instructions by double clicking on "Installation" and then scrolling down to "License Plate Bracket Installation Guide". If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to drop us a line. Keith DarkHorseMoto, L.L.C. |
