Henrik: We were on the 3rd floor of your hospital last night for a 9PM appt when a bevy of gorgeous young gals appeared, one on a stretch and a handful of groupies and two personal assistants. I watched as, under the "no cell phone" sign the entire crowd, save one, was on cell phones. When we were on the way home we heard the entire thing on 1010 WINS about the famous _____ star rushed to the hospital for an emergency MRI. See....you left too early yesterday! Court

WANTED I'll keep it short and simple. We got Richard's 200 MPH ring this week (at long last and going through a tooth-pulling ordeal). I am seeking 30 benefactors at $20 each to foot the bill for the ring. As regulars know, we are picky as heck about what Team money (which, by the way is yours) gets spent. I think the ring is a dandy thing to do, but I'd prefer to do it separate from the TEAM ELVES racing funds. No need for discussion. If you want in drop a check for $20 (no donations will be accepted for more than $20) to: Jim Bantz 1701 South Jefferson Street Hartford City, IN 47348 Be sure to write "ring fund" in the memo. For those of you who've offered to ante up for the 2003 Travel Scholarship Program (aka Salt Peter) you can send that as well. Look for updated 2003 Team Elves info in the next week. This is going to be one heck of a year and there is, in spite of the public silence, lots of activity. Court |

Machinists work to the nearest thou', carpenters to the nearest eighteenth, and boat builders to the nearest boat . . . Hey Bomber, That might be the way they do it around Chicago, but down in these parts when one of those boats gets finished, we take it out in the ocean and work the dogshit out of it for twenty years. That’s when the oak ribs back around the fish hold start to rot, so then we jam a new set of sister ribs in and go again. The only seams that ever get caulked are the garboard seam (next to the keel) and the butt seams where two planks meet end-to-end. Don’t be dissin’ ships carpenters. Your roof leaks, you put an old pot on the floor. Your boat leaks... Capt. Pete

For all those complaining about Buell performance...do something about it. There's a ton of places out there for hi-po part$ and $ervices. I'd be doing it myself...but I need a backup bike first |

Charlotte- Hey I was glad to be able to ride with you today. That must of been why Dyna didn't show (he heard you were coming and knew that he couldn't keep up with you riding or talking). Anyway I hope you made it back home ok. CMBlast, it was nice meeting and riding with you too. On the way back I was running 110 going into a curve when I took a B52 bug square in the faceshield. That was rather exciting only seeing part of the road. Take it easy & we'll see you at the Anniversary. |

Char made it about 75 miles away from home and got caught in a downpour, wet and tired, so she stopped at a hotel and will make it home in the a.m, but at least she's safely off the road now !! That was a LONG way to ride, great job Char ! CJM

Is Char an accountant ?? Is there a reason for your nasty comment towards me ?? How is it you think you know what I do at work ?? Tell me again what "Real" job you have that keeps you so busy ?? It was a great ride. We had 29 riders until the Triumph group decided they would rather eat than ride at noon, so off to Pete's burger stand they went and we went riding. Only had one u turn when the road I followed ended up dead ending at the river(yeah Char I planned that) We had to make one unplanned stop so I could get a bug out of my helmet. Sorry you couldn't make it Dyna, I told CJM that I was going to make you two sit together and she had to share her fries with you.. Bomber, Bomber, Bomber? missed seeing you. Thanks to all that came, I hope everyone had fun. We will do it agian next year, same day, same time, the last Sunday in June at noon! Ride to the edge! CaptPete No dissing intended, sir, truely . . .. the saying was told me by someone who holdls boatwrights in the highest regard (as do I, well, next to bull-goose machinists) . . . I believe the point is that old-timey boat builders didn't use a detailed plan, but worked til it "looked right", ending up with elegant, functional solutions to thorny problems . . . . anyone who's ever seen the viking ships in the Museum in Oslo has a good idea of the embodiment of elegance, I believe . . . . . so, take me down of the yardarm, capt . . . . it's kind breezy up here :-} |

How did Noonan get so much coverage? We've been sending out press releases for the SuperModel like mad and have had limited response. ThunderPress and American Rider are the only ones that carried a story about the only woman to hold a land speed record on a Harley. You'd think there would be more interest. |

John Noonan, affectionately re-named, by me, "Disco John"(he knows why) has a LOT of contacts. He runs in the right circles to rub elbows with all the motorcycle industry people. He is very persistant. |
