My fiance and I lost our baby cockatoo, Elvis, last week to a persistent health problem. It's been pretty rough and he kicked butt. He was sick for a month and was undergoing treatment for it, he died at the avian health clinic. In short, after multiple diagnosis and treatment for e. Coli, staff, etc, I had his cage tested...The lab stated that the ‘Reporting Limit for Lead” in the paint was 27.3 mg/kg. The cage’s test Result was 52.7mg/kg. Zinc’s Reporting Limit was 30.3 mg/kg, the actual amount is 439 mg/kg. 'Made in China" sums it all up. Amanda's and my post on ParrotForum.net http://www.parrotforum.net/forum/general-talk/1799 -tribute-elvis-goodbye-now.html |

I'm very sorry for your loss. Birds can be wonderful pets. Give another a good home. |
