I am about 30 days or so away from getting my 1125R. What will the recommended break in procedure look like? When is the first service due? LOL - planning my first weekend with the bike already (rain or shine). |

Excellent querry, I've been wondering also. I'm planning on getting on mine and riding it home (Sheridan Or.), it's about a four hour ride. Kind of worried about it, being a new bike and all. I want to go Hwy 101 to have a bit better chance of doin' it right. Think I'll hurt anything? Should I load it in the truck? (how embarrassing) |

All speculation so far, but most people suspect it will be along the lines of 500 miles with a rev limit of 5-6K. Vary engine speeds, so 101 will probably a better choice versus the Interstate. Some people would also stop a few times and let the engine cool for some heat cycling. I think there are is another thread or two on this subject for some other opinions. |

Just checked out Motoman's take on things. Hmmmm..... I've never had any experience with Nicisil plating (other than chain saws) so don't know if that's such a good idea. I just don't know. Thanks for the info. For sure the 101. It would be a shame to ride a bike like that on the slab! It'd probably fail from boredom. I know I would. |
