My fellow BadWebers, I have been searching for a S1W for a while and found one on Craigslist in Denver area posted yesterday for 3,500. I made several attempts to contact the individual with no reply. A while later I noticed the same bike on ebay. There is no "buy it now" price. I am assuming he or she will see how the price goes and then sell it on craigslist if he or she does not get 3,500 out of it. I am not sure if it is a scam but it, in my opinion, is unethical. As much as I want that bike, especially so close to home I will not bid on it and if contacted by the individual will not deal with him or her. I would hate to see a fellow BadWeber get screwed. Use your own good judgment as I might be wrong. Frank |

Frank, I can't say I see anything wrong with advertising the bike in as many places as you can. Lots of people, in fact most that I have seen, state that they have the vehicles in their ebay auctions for sale locally as well. Now, if the seller only gets bids up to $3000, and then a day later someone offers to buy it locally for $3200, it would be unethical to not sell it to the ebay winner. But trying to sell the bike in as many places as possible is just good business. Should folks be limited to only posting a flyer in one gas station at a time? |

Understood. And I see you point. And come to find out that he did try to contact me about 15 minutes ago. Like I said before it is just my opinion. |

Boy do I feel like a you know what. I talked to him and he is a standup guy. My mistake. I wish I could erase this one. I apologize to everyone. Frank |

Frank - don't sweat it - Are you new to the internet sales game? Some folks hear all kinds of horror stories about people getting ripped off and flinch and the slightest thing that they don't like. I haven't done a single transaction over the internet that i've been unhappy with - ebay, online retailers, or classifieds such as these. I hope the bike it what you're looking for and it all works out. And if you want to unload that S2T, just let me know |
