So the insurance company wrote the wife's bike off yesterday. Hard to believe a 30-40mph spill could cause over $9000 damage. I'm glad I had replacement insurance. So it appears the wife will be getting an '08 with all of the nice little upgrades. I feel a lot better about that than having her ride a bike that I smashed and then brought back to near new condition. It is just never the same as an unadulterated piece of machinery. I might buy the salvage of the bike and do a project though. I have to find out the price and see how the numbers jive. Enjoy your weekend kids. Freezer |

oh, a project should be in the works! Maybe a kick ass go-kart???? or you could go old-school and build a chopper. personally id have a loud little go-kart!!! |

Bitchen way to get a project bike - buying it back salvage! Most shops when they do insurance estimates will mark ALL parts for replacement even if just scratched. Retail pricing adds up in a hurry. They factor in the dollars they would get salvage and yeah, you'd be surprised at how little damage can "total" a bike. |
