What a nice Wisconsin fall weekend of riding. I was kind of bummed when I went to Doc's Harley Davidson to order a manual for my new Cyclone only to find out that they are no longer a Buell dealer. That totally sucks. I think the owners daughter even rode a tuber! They said they would try to order the manual but they didn't know if it would come. If nothing else they said they would get it from appleton HD. The didn't charge me for the order since they didn't know if they could even get it. So.... The next day I went down to Octoberfest in Appleton and me and the GF went to Appleton HD. I was totally impressed. They had the Buells in the front of the shop, even in front of the Harleys. When the sales guy saw me looking at the bikes he started telling me about them right away. When I went to the back of the store another guy offered me literature on the '08 bikes. If all the dealers were that enthusiastic, Buell would be selling 2X the bikes they sell. Then I found that they had all the manuals for every conceivable Buell in existence in stock. I just bought mine there instead of waiting to see if Doc's could even get one at all. I even bought a cool Buell t-shirt. Then when I was checking out, the girl behind the counter asked if I had ever heard of Badweb. When I said yes, I got 10% off. Cooler than cool! The bike was detonating slightly, so I decided to replace the plugs. The ones I took out were the Sportster plugs, not the Cyclone ones. As soon as I changed them, the detonation stopped. I decided that I was going to change the oil, but the HD dealer was closed. Thought the PH8A would be worth using since nobody has had an issue with them, but the Fleet Farm had the right MC filter in stock. Now the bike has a new load of Mobil-1. What I thought was a very small primary cover leak? Slightly loose tranny plug was all it was. After 300 miles or so, the puke tank has kept all the puke contained. Now the bike just needs a transmission oil change this week and I will have it exactly the way I want it.... for now. 1st Grade daughter helped with all the maintenance projects and took a ride with me. She is PI**ED that there are all sorts of HD kid shirts and no Buell ones. Then when I was put her to bed, she told me she was going to get her own Buell when she grew up and show her daughter how to change oil. It was the cap on a perfect weekend. That Cyclone has really put the joy back in riding for me. What a nice bike. |

Heya Bill. I just bought a 2002 M2 Cyclone as well(about a month and a half ago). Just like you, I'm lovin it. I'm a bit of a coffin dodger(just turned 53) but this bike makes me feel like a kid again. |

You should have made a detour to Shiocton on Saturday for the Cabagge Chuck. They had an air cannon that was firing cabbage 450+ yards. Later they loaded the catapults and cannons with bowling balls and destroyed a car. It was an entertaining afternoon. I saw a Blue M2 out there, but didn't find the owner. He had a cool gauge setup and a Givi windscreen that looked pretty nice. I also stopped in at the dealership on Saturday afternoon. Andy is the guy in the back and is a working hard for the Buell guys. He was showing me the new shirts that the dealership is ordering. |

I have a daughter in First grade as well, every time she 'helps' me it takes about twice as long. I haven't given her a ride yet though, The Mom would kill me, and as you know kids can't keep a secret at that age. |
