I thought it would be cool to have a thread that showed what XB'rs rode BEFORE they "crossed over". So..... here goes before: 2003 Roadking Custom now: 2007 XB12SR Lightning-Bolt

I thought it would be cool to have a thread that showed what XB'rs rode BEFORE they "crossed over". I've owned everything from a 1968 Sportster, my first street bike, to a bunch of ricers (ABH), to Triumph, and much in between. Been riding street bikes for well over 25 years, been riding dirt ever since they invented it. |

Of course, Glitch. I mean what bike were you riding before you crossed the fence? |

From April 1999 until May 2005 I was riding my Sleeper Sporty. 883 converted to 1200. Race ignition, Cams. Not as quick as the Buell but boy did it rip my arms out of the sockets.

Oh ok! I still had it for a while after I bought the XB, but sold it to a friend that had been wanting it forever. I figured it needed to go to a home instead of collecting dust in my garage. It was a 99 Bandit 600, with full racing exhaust from Dale Walker. He also did the head work and cams. It was pumping out over 85 HP when I sold it, which is saying a lot when talking Bandit 600. Also had GSXR suspension, and a few modifications to rid the pig of some weight. It was a fun bike for the most part, it was pretty fast, but couldn't compare to the handling of the XB. |

Umm, ok. . .I'll play along. . . My first bike - http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff213/TerribleT im68/100_0107.jpg And my OTHER bike, 'cause I still have the first one! - http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff213/TerribleT im68/100_2009.jpg . . .sometimes I just feel in a different mood. Those two pretty much cover it all. |

Ft_b, how was your mileage on that first one. To follow up, did it get you where you wanted to go? Oh no.......I just realized...... I'm gonna go wash my hands now. I have recently touched something that you touched. Ughhhh, you bastard. |

A-men brother! The other advantage is, when one has a problem, I don't have to stop riding! . . .or how did that David Lee Roth video go? "I always hang out with 2 of them. It's better for conversation! If there winds up being any, I don't have to be involved!" |

I still have my first ride, but I only ride it when I'm at the in-laws, at the opera, shopping with my wife, etc. I did get the side car attachment for it:

Keith - It looks really good. Here is what I was riding before my Buell:
After nearly high-siding it on a twisty road, I knew that it was time get something a little sportier. And before the Night Train, my trusty '84 FXR (photo by Blake):

My old bike an '04 Yamaha FZ6. LOVED THAT BIKE!!!! (stupid my thought it was a good idea to sell to keep the lady happy)
But................ after a few months that bug took a big bite out of my ass, and I HAD to get another bike! (surprised she didnt start signing papers to ditch me :-)
And i have to say the Buell is AWESOME!!!!! I tell people all the time, i will NEVER go back to a jap bike after having a Buell, and they are all like "WHAT!! why not?" I'm like, go ride a buell and you will see difference! (as long as they don't spend most of there time on a highway) |

Went from a '91 Honda CBR900RR, fully tricked. And an '84 Honda VFR500F, stripped nekkid. To an 03XB9S, and an 04XB12S. And, honestly, I will never ride rice again. The personality of the Buells is just intoxicating to ride. |
