I have a set of Michlein Pilot race tires sitting in the garage...they are 120-70-17 and 180-55-17 with 70% tread on them. Took a few laps with them and put the metzlers back on for day to day sport touring as the pilots are real sticky. $60 plus shipping, paypal only pls.

I'm VERY interested...put me 3rd in line behind Brain and Wile, taking them provided age / no dry rotting and shipping (53228) is not insane. Thanks, Jason P.S. Brain, I only want these for one or two days this year if I can get the bike together. In the spring, I plan on getting a new set. So maybe we could work some thing out to share these. I have a spare set of wheels I'd throw these on, I don't feel like buying new tires for them - and I can't use street tires .. (for Great Lakes - can't find drag radials narrow enough for the rear (not converting to chain)- these have got to be able to hook up better than street tires) |

might want to ask what compound first (although price is right) harder ones are dual compound-harder in middle. they do come in slicks too but not drag slicks. think about $225 for a rear |

Not really to worried about compound .. I run Pilot Powers on the street and occasional track day ... the Pilot Race tire is going to be even stickier/ softer than street tires .. even if only a little different .. and for the price - they will shoe the spare wheels just fine and save my street tires for just that ... Shipping cost to Milwaukee, WI, 53221, is around $60 so the total would be $120USD and I'll ship as soon as paypal clears. The tires would be shipped via CanadaPost so it would arrive USPS at your end, that also includes $100 insurance and a tracking number so u can see it comming right to your door seeing as customs takes a while some times. Let me know and we'll go from there. Brad |

The tires say race on the side and they are for sure very sticky...I'm not sure if they would be that great in the rain as I have never tried...only used on dry hot days and they grab thats for sure. They are 3 yrs old and came off the rim last year when I got a set of sport touring tires...I don't do the track anymore as the back can't handle it...I see no rotting or cracks just a little scrubing on the sides where I got a little wiggle going 80ish around a few corners...they maybe have 10-12 laps on them. I would say a solid 7.5/10. (Message edited by af226 on August 23, 2007) (Message edited by af226 on August 23, 2007) |

Thanks for the info .. but the shipping costs kills it for me .. (I have a local Buell racer friend that has take-off slicks that I can get - more expensive until you add the shipping cost for yours, still a good deal for someone - but not for me, sorry) Jason - they're all yours - shipping will be the same to you .. (he lives 10 minutes away from me) |

If anybody needs a good set of track day tires let me know. Shipping to the states is kinda steep but not to bad...open to serious offers seeing as I'm trying to de-clutter the garage. |
