So my new CF chin fairing don't quite fit. I'm having tabs welded onto the braces of my D&D this weekend. Will I need a new gasket on the header? |

I have never replaced the header gaskets on many header swaps/remove & reinstall. Never had a leak either. Besides, they are a pain in the @ss to change. |

Will I need a new gasket on the header? Why are you removing the header? There is no gasket between the muffler and the header, if that's what you're asking. |

They CAN be a pain in the ass to replace. I heard that it's more easy if the new ones are put in the freezer overnight. I haven't tried this trick yet. |

Hell I dunno I remember my pipe came with a gasket and wasn't sure if I'd need a new one. Apparently I'm retarded or something cuz there is no gasket in between. Maybe it DIDN'T come with a gasket it's been a while since I put it on. |

It's not really a gasket. It looks like a ring made of steel wool. cylindrical on the outside and angled on the inside. You probably still have the factory ones in the head. |
