Did a search on rss but so much discussion I don't have time to look at them all. I looking for the one that matches left side the closest. |

Or you could help support the BadWeB and contact Matt (Trojan) http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/ Rather than Rob who doesn't support BadWeB at all, no matter how good a guy he is. |

From information on website they sell carbon fiber and fiberglass which must be painted. In either case, does not match factory left side, but I could be wrong. Deleting email address from someone else's post was childish, and besides I've got it already. |

What part of Board sponsors don't you guys understand. If Rob wants to sell his wares here he needs to give Blake some $$$$$. Just that simple. It has nothing to do with Childish....Glitch is doing his job. A suggestion, how about using the PM feature of the board. (Message edited by Lost_in_Ohio on September 15, 2007) |

Deleting email address from someone else's post was childish, and besides I've got it already. We now offer a ready painted version that matches the finish of the stock left scoop. Price is less too http://www.britnett-carver.co.uk/trojanhorse/prods/297.html

Just wrote then deleted not one but two long-winded rants. It's a BS policy but one we have to live with - even when it is only selectively enforced. Could somebody please PM me the address as well? Thanks dg |

It's a BS policy but one we have to live with - even when it is only selectively enforced. Sorry buddy, selectively enforced? Name one I've selected over another, I simply can't be everywhere, see everything. I treat everyone the same. If I see one, I fix it. If I don't see one, I don't. Sometimes I miss one, and get an e-mail from a fellow BadWeBber, I'm thankful for that. Seems like a lot of people are quick to yell "bullshit" and too few are willing to help, of offer thanks, or even do as much as Lost_in_ohio has. |

Glitch Let me see if I can explain myself better. First of all, I understand the importance of the sponsors. I bought a Drummer for Kevin. A unique product from a unique guy. I bought a Zero Gravity windscreen from Al and American Sport Bikes. I could have bought that elsewhere, from a non-sponsor, but there are pages and pages of testimonials on the BadWeb about Al and American Sport Bike. I chose to buy it from him and support a sponsor. I will soon buy some axle sliders from another BadWeb sponsor. I get the sponsorship thing. But they (the sponsors) can offer the best products and the best service in the world and they won't sell any product if people don't know about them. Something needs to bring people "in the door" to see their stuff. Here, it means a large number of active BadWeb members. One of the biggest reasons I come here, and probably a lot of other folks do too, is to learn about new products. Every day there are new posts on some new item somebody bought - be it a set of tires, an exhaust, powder coating, lights, helmets/jackets/gloves/boots - whatever. Here we get first-hand testimonials from other BadWeb members who say "Hey - look what I just found! I got this item from this vendor and I just think it's great. If you are interested, here's the website" We buy from and endorse places like Walmart, PepBoys, Newenough.com, Aerostitch, D & D, ebay and American Signal Dynamics just to name a few. In the two years or so I have been on this website I can't recall you (or anyone else) ever deleting a link to the product offered by one these non-sponsors. That's the issue. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what you did (deleted contact info for a product sold by a non-sponsor) in this thread. When you do that once and ignore hundreds of other posts with essentially the same content, that's selective - hence "selective enforcement". Get it now? Do you really expect me to believe you "missed" hundreds of other posts with similar information? So, that's what I meant when I said it was a BS policy and selectively enforced. It's also ineffective. For example, I later asked for a PM with the same information you deleted and got multiple responses in a matter of hours. Thanks to "lost-in-ohio" for the suggestion Moving on. Yep, I'm quick to yell "BS" I think if more people were, there would be a lot less BS. Or at least a lot fewer BS'ers. Some folks may think it is impolite and others may lack the desire or the skills to initiate some sort of conflict resolution. Throwing the "BS" flag always seems to work for me. It's probably not the most politically correct or maybe even the most effective way(because you often have to start by soothing bruised egos) but it certainly does seem to get the ball rolling, doesn't it? Maybe there are too few who are willing to help because there are too few who agree with the policy in the first place. The military expects you to support the orders/commands/decisions of your superiors even if you disagree with them. This isn't the military. And I am certainly not your buddy |

The way I see the policy being enforced is..... The non sponsor post cannot have any direct competition with a bad web sponsor. That whole swing arm slider mess six months ago is an example. The same goes for these RSS, American Sportbike and Trojan and Hillybilly all sell RSS in a number of different materials. The examples you cite have no direct competitor as a Bad Web sponsor. I am sure if Olympia would sponsor Bad Web then AeroStitch would get nix too. As far as ebay, newenough, Iron Pony, Competition Accessory's goes. With the exception of ebay, NONE of them offer enough Buell specific parts to impact any business that the Bad Web Sponsors receive. Lets face it we have to have some sort of clothing to wear while riding. IMHO citing them does not fit your complaint. (Message edited by lost_in_ohio on September 17, 2007) |

Thanks for the update Obviously I DIDN'T get the sponsorship thing You know it crossed my mind but I thought "no way" would the BW have a policy that discourages competition in the marketplace (at least this small portion of the market place). Ironic actually. Like I said earlier, it's a policy we have to live with. Or rather work around. I'm done beating this dead horse. If there is anything else, please PM me. I'm doing now what I should have done then and taking it off the web |
