Has it occurred to anyone [other than Eric Buell et al.] that the exhaust/muffler design may be rooted in aerodynamic factors as well as sound-management & power ones? Much development time was spent in the wind-tunnel which accounts for some of the distinctive appearances of the 1125R front-end. Form following function, unlike certain "sexy Italian" designs. Seems unlikely then that the very unusual exhaust/muffler exterior design just 'happened'. Perhaps 'Anonymous' could chime in..... |

In that case I'm guessing my scrotum on a hot summer day is also very aerodynamic. |

Well, my scrotum could use some more air cooling during those hot days. Any chance we could get a routed crotch cooler into the bike? Rider comfort you know. |

Seems pretty obvious to me. Your scrotum looks like a dog bone on a hot day Brad? |
