Everyone,
Where does the wire go into the the oil pressure switch? Do you take the top off? My manual is hazy on this. Also, what type of connector is used to secure the wire to the switch. I have a 98' S3. Thanks |

I just did this (and broke an oil sensor in the process), so I'm somewhat familiar. Connect the exposed wire in your picture to the end of the oil pressure sensor using a ring terminal and 2 nuts (I also used a very thin washer with teeth - not sure what it's called, but I don't think it's necessary). Thread the first nut onto the end of the oil pressure sensor, then the ring terminal, then the other nut to sandwich the terminal in place. MAKE SURE not to tighten the top nut against the black plastic part of the sensor AT ALL (this is how I broke it - barely put any torque on it). I have 2 S1's, but I would assume the S3 is the same. Let me know if any part of that is unclear. |
