Was wondering if anyone here in the US carries those nice full-length chins for the XB? Trojan horse @ UK doens't seem to have any available. Nor do some other sites in Australia. Would this be something we can get a group buy and have made, possibly distributed through American Sport Bike? I really feel it fills out the lower half of the bike really nice, especially if you go for a thinner/shorter muffler.

Hals sells them, Sebimoto makes them.

Licensed racers can still get them through a local dealer from Henry Duga (unless they're all through Hal's now... not 100% sure)

Shoot Hal's PA an email.

Many Buell dealerships as well as American Sport Bike can get race parts such as the belly pan on my XB9S.

Keith, your bike rocks! I need to do the Midwest AHMRA series next year. Thanks again for the great sliders and awesome service.

The Buell race belly pans are on backorder. I called Henry Duga last week and explained I wanted one for track days. He did not require any racing license or documentation.

After talking with him I went to my local HD dealer they called Henry who gave them the part number and the dealer placed the order with Buell, $150.

We also talked about a number of race parts available using this method. From brake pads to windshields and more.

Henry Duga 262-642-2020 have the operator page him.

I'll call Henry then. Any estimated time for delivery given?

DON'T just page Henry unless it's extremely important. Leave him a voicemail. Use some discretion there. His day job is NOT supplying parts for every street racer! IF he tells you directly to page him after your first call, then by all means do so, he's probably out back working but DO NOT page him on your first call!

Also, you MUST buy the parts through your local dealer. Buell Racing (Duga) cannot sell directly. If your dealer has never been in touch with Duga, then you might as well call him yourself - but if everybody starts calling him for parts for their streetbikes, he'll have his number changed before too much longer.

Please, don't page him unless you absolutely MUST. He does answer ALL pages and often times you're interrupting a test or some other meeting.

Does anyone know of a full-length belly pan that you can still use the kickstand with? I'd like something streetable that I don't have to modify for the kickstand unless I just have to.

+1 to Tx05xb12s

Skully: Do you sell those number boards? I'm getting ready to join NESBA, and they require numbers. Thanks!

Just spoke to Henry. He mentioned he has about 20-25 orders waiting already. He expects to receive a batch in a few weeks. Until then, we need to wait. Of course, they must be ordered through your Buell Dealer, and as stated above, the dealer should talk directly to Henry Duga.

I guess this leaves me where I began. This must be a very difficult part to find. Anyone selling theirs? ;)

Yoyodyne also sells Sebimoto carbon and fiberglass bodywork parts for Buell. Though when possible it is always better to support the board sponsers

Trojan horse @ UK doens't seem to have any available.

Yes we do : ) We can get both the Ilmberger full length carbon belly pan or the glassfibre race type in around 7 days.

Does anyone know of a full-length belly pan that you can still use the kickstand with? I'd like something streetable that I don't have to modify for the kickstand unless I just have to.

The Ilmberger belly pan is designed for street or race use and can retain the stock sidestand. It also utilises the stock chin spoiler mounting points (The fibreglass race versions require mounts to be made up).

They also make a full length lower that looks pretty awesome. Let me know if anybody wants to buy any bodywork from them- I have a friend looking to put together the minimum order to become a dealer for them.

Ah, so you do have them in stock. Its a shame though, about $420 + $100 shipped to the US, this piece is way too expensive for my budget. The $150 price straight from buell sounds more attractive, but I'll hold off on it for now. Thanks for the replies.

Unfortunately the exchange rate isn't doing anyone any favours at present : (

The Ilmberger carbon is probably the best in the world though, and they supply many GP teams with bodywork including the Ducati factory MotoGP team, so quality is assured.

Mark - Thank you very much. We are working very hard to deliver a competitively priced product that outperforms anything available with top notch customer service. I'm stating the obvious, but without you guys and gals, there would be no DarkHorseMoto.

Patrick - You will get a kick out of this:

For Sale

I made these from "For Sale" signs purchased at The Home Depot. The plastic is the right color and is pretty heavy and the price is right.

If I were to need number plates today, I would start by pricing a set of the TT plates. They will bolt right up.

LOL...

They look much better from a distance. Please thank Al for all his help on the phone (I have a set of bars and some other stuff coming). If you start to make/sell belly pans, please post or drop me a note. I'm just getting started with the track day stuff. I'd like to have a pan that would allow me to keep my side stand in place. At this point I can't afford a track only bike.

Thanks again.

I thought you get a laugh out of that. I too use my bike for touring, commuting, and racing so I understand what you are saying about one bike doing all. I've been hesitant to leave the belly pan on when on the street as it may make the exhaust run hotter. I don't know that it would hurt anything though.

Here is my idea of sport touring:

Just met with Duga day before yesterday, the bellypans are coming out - told me to go ahead and post it up.

Get in touch with your dealers, they might be ready by the time you read this.
