I'm putting an S1 roller back together and need a few parts: > complete dash panel with tach/speedo, idiot lights and wiring harness. Also need speedo cable and mechanical drive. > complete left handlebar switch setup (horn, dimmer and turn signal switch) with cable and plug. > useable flyscreen, color/condition don't matter. Now it's me that needs S-1 parts,kickstand, S-1W exhaust or race header as that is what was on there,race air cleaner cover. Tom, I think I have a L/S switch as there is one hanging on this bike but it never came with any. According to Reg all street equipment was removed from all the race bikes.What else did you need other than the shock???Have not looked for speedo drive as yet. | ||

Jim, I've found the switch, the flyscreen and the instruments. Still need the speedo drive/cable and the shock. I think the PO has the coil and module for me. I also need a starter solenoid for S1#1, but I think I'm gonna go new on that piece. I've got a stock S1 header (not the race header) if that helps you out. Also a stock breadbox AC (not exactly rare or in demand, I know). rt | ||

I found the drive but no cable,shock is on the way back to me from Seth who went with some other brand. I really want to try and get a race header to do restore correctly. | ||

Speedo cables are readily available at the dealer, for about $12; if your dealer isn't very helpful LMK and I'll get you the part number  | ||

IIRC the last time I got a speedo cable the price had about tripled,too bad you cannot just get the inner piece,that is always what breaks on mine. | ||

I just bought three - one for the S1W, one for the S2...and one to have for the next time they break. Less than $20 each. Preventative maintenance? I douse with Dri-Slide after any super-rainy ride, and at every 1k miles. S1W was the original cable, S2 had god-knows how many miles on it as it was dead when I bought the bike. I have been thinking of tapping for the electronic speedo on the S1W, so I can mount an XB front end on there. I think that'd be cooool...but again, I'm a strange sort. | ||

The early race header will ALWAYS pull big money - pretty rare find and that one on e-bay that went for big bucks was never used .. sitting on a shelf as a spare in some guy's garage ... it is now on my S1 as the Force is no longer with me ... Jim - did you get my PM ? | ||

I need to take a look at where a stocker has the stand as I am unsure how much was cut, but would like to put a stand back on. Brad, might as well send me the stand. | ||
