Wolf, Thanks for the email. Would love to attend but the date falls at the tail end of my busy season. I am holding on to the hope that I might manage to get away at the last minute. If so I will take whatever accommodations I can find. SteveH |

Wolf, I've got the days off and am trying to rally a few other troops. However, I am not a Buellist any longer. FoghornLeghorn hauls me everywhere these days.NUTS

Hey guys. What's the scoop here? Many attending? What's everyone doing about lodging? Camping or hotel somewhere? I'm wanna see if I can arrange to go. It's not too bad of a ride. I'm in Indiana about 6 hours away. |

Here.... http://www.northbendsp.com/accomodations/accomodat ions.html Or... The Heritage Inn 315 E. Main St Harrisville, WV 26362 304-643-2938 The way things are looking I think it may be best if we just take over the overflow area. I am getting a lot of maybe emails and I'm sure if it rains they will turn into no's and if its nice..... you know the deal.... |

Presently I will be attending and I am trying to talk Webethumpin into riding up with me. He has to travel for work that week so it depends if you gets back in time. So what is the head count now? |

I think we are up to a solid 6!! I need to remember to stop at the dealer and get the tarp off of a Buell crate to mark our "TURF" I have dinner covered for anybody and everybody that shows up Friday. My folks are going to fire up the grill and feed us. I am looking forward to riding the "goat trail" that goes down to the New River. It is cool to see how far the base jumpers plunge during Bridge Day |

Actually sound like a perfect size group. We did a five day trip to Suches in 2005 with five of us all on Tubers (everybody else was on S2 except me on the M2) and that was a great ride. When the group gets too big it takes way from the fun. |

Hey Jim!;) This time next Friday we should be on headed south east at a HIGH rate of speed. Take a look at the map and let me know what you think. Starting from my house just south of Harrisburg, take 62s to 56 to 278 into Nelsonville. Then 33 to 550 to Marietta. Cross the river into WV and pick up 31 and take it to Cairo/North Bend/Harrisville. By my calculations that should only be about 20 miles on the 4 lane. You will love 31. I had a Triumph TR6 back in the day and 31 was one of my favorite roads for that car. Its even better on a bike! If you need me to haul some stuff for you on the Uly let me know. You can UPS it to me and I will strap it on there some place... |

The day I met Ulywife, she was in her dad's Triumph Spitfire. I am riding Super slab for most of the ride up to make time, then riding US-16/19 to Harrisville, then head west to the state park. |

Soups on between 6:30 and 7 PM. I just got the heads up that the HPD are serious about the speed limit in town so try to keep it on 2 wheels. I got a phone call from Oldbiker (aka Steve) who lives in H-ville and rides a M2. He is looking forward to seeing some Buells in town.... |

Gary, The Uly was decommisioned due to excessive Ping! It was awful nice of them to offer me a brand new '07 though. I love the bikes, the company, the chief engineer and the people who ride these Buells. It might not be too long before I'm back in Buelldom, but a liquid cooled "L" twin is a little bit of a RUSH!NUTS |

You wont be "crashing" "crashing" is predictable and preventable. Therefor you are invited. The overflow area is just before you get into the park from what I understand. If I remember I will stick a big Buell sign in the ground so we will be easy to find |

Wile_ecoyote......if ya google up Harrisville WV.....you'll see that 16 is E.Main St. to W.Main St. once ya get beyond the golf course...a sweeping right....over a viaduct...a bit more wrinkled road and yer in the park. The overflow area is on the right....i'll be in town later and if my feeble mind can remember i'll check milage from golf course to overflow. Steve |

Cool! We'll have a great time! Thanks for the invite. I'm gonna truck down with X in the back. I know, I'm just not well equipped with the small tents and small gear to strap to bike. I made arrangements to borrow a tent and will have room for firewood and gas ans well as a cooler and other stuff. If you can think of anything youd like to have we can make room for it I think. If ya'll want I can try to make room for a grill, but I was gonna see whats on the site for that. I see they have a shower so I can grab extra towels if you need. Nice to get a morn shower then ride out fresh. Let me know. Im stoked!!!! |

Nuts - That is why I am riding up to my in-laws place Thursday. That way I have all day Friday to ride. I Googled Hillsville VA to Harrisville WV avoiding highways and the route was the same as I was looking at doing. VA-100 to WV-12 to WV-20 to US-60 to WV-16. Check it out and let me know what you think? |
