Hey everyone. My 98 S1 seems to have a slight miss or bogging problem. Whenever i get after it hard all the way through first, and then into second, it seems like it bogs for a split second around 5k rpm in 2nd. It does not do this in any other gear, and only when im running it hard like drag racing. It also doesnt do it every time i run it hard. The bike has an s&s super E carb, vance and hines pipe, and andrews cams. Brand new spark plugs, coil packs and vr i think. Any ideas? Thanks! |

Perhaps something silly like the gas sloshing to the rear of the float bowl from acceleration? Of course, it would pull hard in first too but not for as long as in second. Just a wild-ass guess. |

Well, it does tend to pull the front end off the ground about a foot high after 3000rpm all the way until i shift, and i can get it up a little in second gear but not for as long, the wheel has been on the ground every time it has happened. Thanks for the guesstimate though! I'll check to make sure i dont have a small blockage in my fuel lines or anything like that. |
