So I love my XB9 and ride most of the year. But I have this Blast in the garage and I'm thinking about winter riding i.e. snow, sleet, etc. Are there snow tires out there? | ||

I would really suggest not riding in snow, sleet, ice etc. You only have 2 rather small contact patches on a bike. Losing the rear can be controlled. Losing the front is a whole nother story. And losing both is just dead. If you want to see what you might run into, take a bicycle out on a frozen lake when the ice is slick. Let us know how you do. Ice racers use knobbies with screws in the tread blocks. They're available ready to go, or you can put the screws in yourself. | ||

I looked at one a couple of years ago, the guy told me it was not fast but plenty steady and reliable. He said to plan on cruising at 50-55 or so and rarely exceeding that. The guy was a Russian. He told me the Urals are like Russian brides, maybe not much good for pretty but pretty much good for strong. The sidecar wheel can be engaged to drive with the rear wheel, that ought be be great in mud and snow.
