Blackbelt, Don't know if I will be making it this weekend. I have to work overtime friday night 6pm to 6am, and my inlaws are going to be at my house. For more bad/good news. There might be a chance for me to get a police k-9 position. If I do get the position I will be in trainning from Sept 4 to Oct 14th. So that means I will not be making the Dragon if I get the K-9 job. There are only two other officers that put in for the position. One has 10 years on the job, wife and three kids, swat team, lives in Canton yadda yadda yadda. The other has less time on the job then me, is single and has a house in Livonia. I have three years on the job, Evidence tech, field training officer, married and only live 5mins from the station in Ypsi. So we will just have to see how it goes. I have been working extra un-paid shifts with other jurisdiction k-9 officers. Police k-9 is one of the best position in this job. |

Hardcorps, good luck. I hope you get the position. I'll bet it will be exciting to get trained by a dog!!! J/K. BTW, I've been notified this week that I have to go to Mexico for a week (for work) either the week of Sept. 10th or 17th. I hope to find out next week. If I can't go to the Dragon, you guys are welcome to use my trailer. It's one of those fold up Kendons. Holds two bikes. |

I'll post video as soon as I figure out how. I'm doing this again soon. Who's in? (Message edited by toledospeedyiii on August 13, 2007) |

I never made it to Ypsi. I stopped for some cocktails after work and stayed way too long. Shobe, track days aren't cheap, but it's worth every penny. You can read about the one I did at http://www.fastone.com It was actually a one day school, with different levels of riders. I was in the novice group because I had never done a track before. I was surprised how fast we were going by mid day. I'm going to do it again soon (possibly August 31st). I want to do it one more time before the Dragon. |

Well, glad you made it home safe and sound speedyiii. Definately have to talk about the track day and how difficult it was to get your bike ready for the track. I might be interested in heading down there prior to the dragon as well. We'll see. Oh yeah, and hi Marshj. |

It was actually really easy to prepare the bike. For this class, you don't have to safety wire everything. You only have to tape the headlights, mirrors and turn signals or anything that could be an impalement hazard. I just took it all off (except headlights) You also have to tape over the speedo. Had to remove the antifreeze and run straight water or you can add water wetter, which I did. http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1056/1109969019_380b49c12e.jpg

Well like the article stated there are other great roads to ride. I guess those of us that go next month will have to take it easy on the Dragon. Thanks for the heads up. |

The Dragon is the big landmark, but I had more fun on the roads around it. I can't wait for the trip. |

So Josh, where have you been? We meet a guy on a blue XB12R at Biker Bob's when then Buell stunt team was there and he said he had met you. Can't remember his name. Are going to make our next meeting at Hooters? If so we can meet up at Tim Horton's. |
