Is there a new part number for the reflectors on the 08s? |

I don't really mind if I have to put my hand in pocket for a fix, but I would hope the upgrade reflector is a REASONABLE price. Similar to the oil pump gear, extended mirror stalks, passenger pegs etc upgrades would keep me happy. The $130 each light (ie $260 total) 12 months ago when I enquired here in Australia is a little ridiculous IMO. |

Hkwan, Having run into numerous corporate policy road blocks in pursuing issues that I had with my Uly, I fully understand and support your methodology in pursuing your issue. |

>>>>Evasive maybe, but not dishonest. I've not been the least bit evasive or dishonest. I know very little about this situation, in terms of facts. I've shared what I know. I refuse to enter the arena and join those who speculate. I'd prefer not to be called evasive or dishonest simply because I will not extrapolate on what little I know. Clearly a case where I should have kept by mouth closed and kept what I do know, and can share publicly, to myself. Lesson learned. Buell, I'm betting, would love to have issued a recall a couple years ago. You do know that once a recall has been issued and you get that letter in the mail you've just been cut off from holding Buell liable for any injury/damage as a result. However, the feds dictate how, when and the procedures for issuing a recall and there are reasons they have not been able to in this case. Read the regs, you'll see. I generally draw the line when my opinion is not the same as someone else and they, rather than say they disagree, simply call me a liar. I'm out of this conversation. Help yourselves. Court |

"Help yourselves" I think that's what we've been doing! |

I've been hanging around the Buell community for only 7 or 8 years. In that time there have been many issues that riders have had, some Buell created, some the riders created, some just happened. During those couple of years the one constant has been the help and insight that Court has given us. He has stuck his neck out for many of us and helped most of us in one way or another. From what I know, he has some "privileged" information from friends and being around this community longer than most. Court tells it like he knows, not what he sees in his crystal ball. Many of us are engineers like Court, our lives are based on facts and data. We have to keep the emotion out of the equation because it cannot be factored into the numbers. Court lets his passion show when it comes to motorcycles, specifically Buells. When that passion erupts, the prose just flows. It is not nice to disrespect anyone, especially someone that you don't know (even though it is easier). I'm not here defending Court or anyone else. I am trying to give some insight to life, especially here in cyberspace. Enjoy the people here, enjoy the ride, that is why we are all here because of the ride. Neil S. |

I apologize Court, I was referring more to the general teasers that you offer up from time to time than to this issue. I was in fact trying to defend you since you had not been on-line for a bit there. I know I wouldn't enjoy coming on Badweb and finding that people were placing my character in doubt. So mea culpa. This is a heart-felt apology. |

The HID now in my 9sx was $200 (I got the premium one) and an afternoon install. It will melt paint at 100 yards, and looks much cooler then any incandescent. It will last for the life of the bike. It lights up better then anything the DOT will allow on a stock motorcycle, and is aimed down such that I have only been "flashed" three times in 5000 miles. Boy, I wish I had waited for the government to help instead! |

Personally, the problem is more than the reflector. One, the plastic units that hold the glass on crack on the tabs. I finally had to superglue mine on so I can no longer take the glass units off. Two, that stupid tab in the low beam. Take a corner and suddenly that tab causes a blind spot. How could that one have passed testing? |
