There is a chap over on the Adv board that rode the '06, 07', and '08 models in a short amount of time. He stated that the fan on the '08 was so quiet he didn't know it was running unlike the earlier vintages. Anyone know if they changed the fan for '08 and whether it would fit on earlier models if they did? | ||

Someone posted a PDF of all the detailed changes for the 08 Buells straight from the mother ship, and there was absolutely no mention of any change to the fan. Maybe the improved oiling system and larger oil cooler are greatly reducing fan operation. Maybe it wasn't running, or it was just running on low speed. | ||

I just got an 08 and the fan is loud. I park it and run away from the bike so no one knows its mine. Tired of answering questions. I tell em its a perpetual rotational fan that runs on an anti gravity magnetic induced power source that is guaranteed to last the life time of the bike. |
