Picked up this Maxim last year or so as a project, but probably getting a cruiser so thining out the projects. Open to offers, more flexible on the price to Badwebbers. See the craigslist post for more details: Edit: Yamaha is already gone, craigslist is fast sometimes. = = = = = Also I might have found a cruiser so I'm back to thinking of selling off the M2. Close to 30k miles on it, X1 bendy mount turn signals, relay controlled aux. lights on the forks, Ventura rack and bag. I'd like to keep the ThrottleMeister bar ends off it. I'd also like to keep the gas tank but have a bubbled logo tank to put on it I do with the logo peeled off and with minor paint chipping (gee I make it sound just great, don't I). Anyway, I'll consider offers on it, but I won't cry if I don't sell it, and I'm going to be a little stubborn on the price for this but go ahead and work on me if you want to work an angle on it (I am in the market for a small decent good MPG car of some sort that I'd consider a part trade for, I also like hot rods and boats and other stuff). The straps on the gas tank in the pic are just to keep the tank bag clips from messing with the forks when the tank bag isn't on it, I think I'm probably going to keep the tank bag (at least that's my thinking at the moment subject to change)
I can probably help with delivery, got a small trailer that one bike at a time will sort of fit into at a slight angle, also got a pickup if I pull the cap/shell off of it, or I'm not against considering riding the M2 to some place as part of the deal. M2 price will have to be in the neighborhood of $4,500 but will adjust if the tank gets swapped or stays, if the bar ends go or stay, and so forth. I'll post a pic of what I'm getting after I get it, if I get it, when I get it, get it. (Message edited by mikej on July 30, 2007) |

I've also got the original stock shifter and the stock breadbox air filter assembly in case someone wants to return the bike to a more stock configuration. |

Also I might have found a cruiser so I'm back to thinking of selling off the M2. I'll probably clean the bugs off of it this weekend. Email with any interest, part trades welcomed.

(starting to think of loosening a few bolts and selling off whatever falls off first, will have to start with the engine though since that's the biggest ticket item on the bike, unless all the other parts go then the engine "could" go into the S2. can't check email due to the iron curtain coming down here and no yahoo email access during the daylight hours, so if you email then give me a day or three to get back to you.) |

Already got the cruiser, rode it to work today. Got a free bike wash when a thunderstorm washed thru town this afternoon. I've got the S2 for the sanity check. I've got tools and am starting to sharpen my screwdrivers. |

Okay, ThrottleMeister bar ends are off, Ventura rack is off, working on the swap-in gas tank next, then maybe the tach dash back to solo speedo next, or maybe the breadbox will go back on next, or maybe the banjo armed shifter will retro back on. Tinker tinker tinker bit by bit.... (probably just take off the aux lights and relay next....) Thinking of taking it in in a few weeks for a dyno run and compression/leakdown test to see where things are currently. Willing to talk swaps if someone has a couple of 4x4 Quads. Took a ride on one over the weekend and might be an option. Don't want a 2wheel drive gonzo racer quad, just a go slow brush crawler game getter camp/hunt rig or two. I'll start a fresh thread if and when I get to the nothing left to do and keep it intact point. Sometimes it's just time, change happens. (always read the fine print as options often hide in plain sight therein) |
