Yes, Jardine - See note 2 above for creating exhaust longevity. Note - silver ceramic coating will stain though if certain fluids get on it while its hot (black of course will stay black) - don't ask how I know - lol GT - JBOTDS! EZ (Message edited by ezblast on July 16, 2007) |

for small header dent repairs - http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=523620 I dented my FMF Ti header pre-running for the Baja 500 recently. Sure it wasn't too bad, but bad enough where people see it and say "hey... your pipes dented..." Enough to make you want to fix it right?! After reading on several forums about filling the pipe with water and putting it in the freezer to pop out the dent, I was pretty skeptical. I thought, "how can freezing water be that powerful?" Also, not being any kind of engineer or scientist, I had to try it! Skeptic? Yes. That is until I actually did it last night and found it to be 100% true! Simply amazing and so easy! Here's just how easy it was: - Took the header off in about 5 minutes (from CRF450X). - Added enough water to fill the dented area of the pipe, plus a bit more (did not end cap the pipe or plug anything). - Placed in freezer so that the pipe wouldn't leak any water. - Woke this a.m. to a near perfect repair! This repair sure saves taking the pipe to a welder (which I am by hobby) and having them use a rosebud and air to blow out the dent!! Plus, this is MUCH cheaper. You may need to attempt this two, three or four times to get the dent completely removed. But don't give up, the reward is worth it. Good luck!! And have fun! Got it from the Thumper Forum - very trick. GT - JBOTDS! EZ (Message edited by ezblast on July 17, 2007) |

To improve top end performance on my 04 blast should I go with a V&H, or a jardine exhaust. |

Buellistic, you are always asking for dyno runs to prove many things. You claim your "BUELLSHITTE PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT" on the stock exhaust, of just drilling an inch and a half hole in the opposite side has more power than the "expensive aftermarket BUELLSHITTE exhaust" Do you have any dyno runs to back this claim up?? Inquiring minds want to know. I love the power of my Jardine, but it is just too damn loud. |

Loud my friend is a Force or D&D exhaust - lol - they are fricken loud - I can't hear you loud - huh? loud - as in big twin loud - loud - lol - I freaked an Angel out today - as I was leaving I mentioned - nice bike, but my Black bike is louder, and then I roared off on the red - which was easily as loud as his bike - you should have seen the double take and thoughtful look the bike got when I cracked that throttle - too funny! You know what they say "If its too loud, then you're too old"! but seriously, Its all a matter of opinion. I've heard said the Pro Series was too loud and thats probably the most quiet of them all! Given that the Blast exhaust exits right below your ears, just about anything that isnt stock will seem loud to some people. The raceBlast has the most quiet non stock exhaust I've heard (and best sounding imho), but thats with an unbaffled White Brothers and it exits at the tail light (or where the tail light was). Would certainly like more opinions on the Jardine quiet core. |

I dont mind loud at all. But my bike is quite raspy. Its been compared to a commercial landscapers lawn mower. Ive been looking at chrome tips and echo tubes to fit onto the end of the muffler to get a deeper tone...but no luck just yet. Hope I find something soon, I have a 300 mile poker run scheduled on the 13th. (Message edited by Buuueller on September 20, 2007) |

Actually I havent thought about the silencer core. I usually dont mind louder pipes, but when all i get is looks from the local LEOs', and the neighbors complain abt the volume, i gotta look somewhere |

True, and here in good ol' TEaxuss we aint got no noise ordinance er nuthin. I think the longer HD pipes help squelch the higher pitch raspyness that our shorter pipes have. Its more the "tone" than volume that Id like to change. Ill prob repack the muffler tighter before the trip. (Message edited by Buuueller on September 21, 2007) |

Funny how buellistic can find time commenting in other topics, but when a question is asked of him, to prove his "BUELLSHITTE" claim, he cant even bother with a response. Guess I'll look into the quit core now. |
