I don't quite get this bike, it's like he took everything great about a blast and threw it away..... then took the not so good things and mixed them with lots of other undesirable bike parts and came up with this. I guess if you have to be "the only kid on your block with one" I bet if Harley built this bike, (with a rear suspension of course) it would outsell the blast 100 to one. |

If Harley built this bike I would buy one but I would want a springer front end |

Here is proof the Blast will not be receiving the commemorative badge featuring Erik’s signature: http://www.buell.com/en_us/news_events/newsdetail. asp?news_id=1275 |

Why is Erik not signing his John Hancock on the Blast? Is he ashamed of the scrawny kid? Was the Blast borne out of wedlock? Will he be sending his smallest son away and adopting (Rotax) a new son? I still figure that a new thumper is on the way, hopefully a street version. |

We should probably get the guys over at the yahoo forum, and all of us and send an email to Erik and let him know!! If Buell is as customer driven as they seem to be maybe they will listen?!?!? Then again maybe not, I failed activism class in school! |

S'up gang quick question on the secondary belt, got 15000 miles on the "B", the belt looks good altho a little "glassy" or hard and streaks black on the finger. The book says to change at 15000.There are no feathers or other wear signs tho the belt squeaks on the sprokett while running. Is there a belt dressing to "revive" the belt without compromising the apparent health of it? Or is it moot, just keep an eye on it for wear and change then, or by the book? Thanx |

For no worries 0 change both belt and sprocket or as others, leave it alone (buy an extra belt to have though - ultra easy to put on) - I checked my pulleys and just changed the bolts, belts and bolts are new - pulleys - not. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Change it that way you have a spare, though they are not an easy extra to carry along as you can't bend them. |

Where can you get the AM51/52? I went to order them, and I was told they're no longer being produced! |

Well I got my speed sensor on Tuesday, and now my speedometer works. By estimation I have gotten my first 100 miles over with. (Yeah!) So today I figure I am ready for some longer distance travel with a little more traffic. I went to Google maps and found a nice right turns only 2-lane square about 10 miles. I set off. It was a great ride. But by the time I got back to the house my jacket arms were hot and soaked with sweat, but I stayed cool everywhere else. The vents in my jacket work great for my mid-section, my helmet is very cool, but my arms get no air flow at all. I have even made cuff as large as possible with the Velcro. The air just forces them closed over my gloves. Is there any good way to get more air flow into the arms of your jacket? |

Never had that problem! Get a summer ventilated/mesh jacket with armor. About $80 to $150 (or more). |

Well, I dont know if you can return used? I'm guessing the cuffs are tight to keep the sleeves from from rolling up on your arms. Maybe others here will weigh in on what they use. |

Badweb link to apparel. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/3898.html?1186020700 I've been wearing the same jacket for $25+ years. I bought a mesh jacket 2 years ago but seldom wear it. (I'm not much help in this department!) |

Heres a pic I got signed by Erik B. and got one signed for each of the guys in it as well - that happened when we went to a dinner in his honor just a few years ago - learned a lot at that dinner - sat right across from Erik B. the whole night - it was great and worth the heavy fog for the ride to the hotel that late night - lol.

Must be nice to have a bunch of fellow blasters to ride with, My big twin friends shun me when I show up on the Blast.. LOL.. and it's very rare to see one around here. Erik I thought that might be you on EZ's far right, (far left in picture) I could tell by the (Umm doing some quick math... 25+ yo jacket minus a few.. four year old picture...) 21+ yo jacket... LOL... My jacket is about 10 years old now, I send it in at the end of the riding season to get cleaned, repaired (zippers, pockets etc) and re-dyed. The big thing around here is for newbies to deliberately distress their jackets so they don't look like newbies. I've even seen someone drag a jacket behind their CAR to beat it up a little. |

Future - good question - I've been reading about Euro's big single insurgence and all the different players starting to line up sub 300 lb 50 plus hp singles for the street - Bennelli, Augusta, KTM and BMW have already stepped forward with models and Ducati is dusting off their single as well - why - simple - gas economy, ultra light weight, paired with performance and suspension is a winning combo in the Euro eye - I hope America catches on as well - and Buell whips one out with their new dirt single engine as well. Leathers...I love them but truthfully I spend most of my riding in my Joe Rocket Ballistic 4 touring Jacket (and matching pants)...when I wear it out I'm going for an Aerostich EZ have you seen the press for the Cagiva 500 single? It's supposed to be using th Huskey 510cc engine which has 60hp. |

Yes - very nice, and the Bennelli as well is supposed to be pushing between 50 and 70 hp - both at less than 300 lbs - and they plan to sell the Benelli for around 7500 - GT - JBOTDS! EZ |
