hey guys, i took my son for his first trip across the Dragon this past monday, and we made the front page of the highlights. It is titled "rock on baby". also, i met a couple of really nice guys (aren't all Buellers?) from Charlotte on Firebolts as well and told them about Badweb. I saw two lightnings and two ulys on the Dragon that day too, and we went to Gatlinburg on Wednesday and I saw a guy cruising on a cherry bomb lightning. It was great to see a handful of Buells out and about. |

thanks everyone...that pic is my new background at home and work now, i thought we would make the front page for a car coming into our lane with the tires locked up and i went all the way over to the white line to keep him from hitting us. btw, it was actually Sunday the 22nd when we were there, i can't keep my days straight anymore... and here's a link to the pics of the car coming into my line, glad i wasn't hugging the center line on this pass through http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/OrderPage.aspx?pi= 04RK00HO030396&po=396&c= |

at the point of that pic, i was hearing his tires squealing and about 3/4 of his front bumper was in my lane. If you click the arrow to the next pic you see me swerved over to the white line as he is cutting back into his lane and regaining control...if you look at the pic that is two before this one you will see a Bagger that was in front of me that he barely missed as well. I had been crowding/trying to pass him and i had just backed off a little before this curve waiting for him to pull over or a good place to pass, thank God for that or me and my boy would have been hood ornaments. |

again thanks for all the replies above, my boy absolutely loves to ride and always has on a Buell shirt, hat or both when we go riding. he is eleven years old, and could probably do a better job selling Buells than most of the people at the "Harley" shops that we end up talking to when we stop in at them. Thank goodness for the good guys out there (especially the sponsoring dealers of Badweb, which played a huge part in my purchasing mine where I did), that do know the Buell product and have the enthusiasm/pride/belief in the bike that it takes to be successful selling and servicing them. |

Glad to see you had enough room to stay on the pavement! Man that was a close one. I have seen this happen too, that is one of the reasons that the Dragon isn't on my weekend priority list any more. Did you get to ride down to Tn rt 32 yet? I'm going back as soon as I can. Thanks again about the heads up on 421, the Snake. That is a most excellent ride. I will get back there too! |
