Okay, post your tangental talk here so we can keep the early actual ride report section somewhat clean. I'm thinking that if I were planning to get a new 1125R and if I were in a snow zone, which I am, I'd be shopping around for a snowplow or plow truck so I could make me a track to ride on this winter and get some break-in miles in. Might also be handy to start screwing some ice studs into a set of winter tires because somehow I think this new bike would be great for ice racing since it has a built in water heater.  | ||

As to the posts in the other thread.... The Flyers have gotten two pretty good players who will definitely give them depth and heart. Oilers got well...crap. I am quickly losing interest in the hockey season already as I can pretty much foresee the headlines and quotes..."it is a building year", "we are just happy to have a win under our belts", "teams need to gel, to come together and these things take time"...etc... To go from Stanley Cup finalist to not even making the playoffs takes some real special team management. | ||

Yeah, K Lowe doesn't seem to be spinning the type of deals that landed Samsonov, Spacek--nor do the free agents seem to want to wander to the great white north. I think that the whole thing is sorta a vicious cycle. When you have a winning atmosphere you can attract the free agents, which of course helps perpetuate the winning. WHen you are losing (doesn't help with the Edm climate), free agents tend to think more about joining such a team, which perpetuates the losing. Also, if you start losing the fan base thru losing and mismanagement, then you don't have the $ either! | ||

Well my fall season starts on Sept 17th too bad I will be in the UK. But the first few weeks are just BS skill challenges and "Coaching" so no worries. Hopin to get a few more shut outs this season  | ||
