Pretty simple question, are there any bolt on wheels in 5.5 from other bikes that will fit an X1 other than PM. Preferably something that would match the standard front wheel. Thanks.. |

I remember an Italian website that offered a three spoke 5.5" wheel for tubers that matched the front. I always assumed it was a Marchesini. Maybe they're still around somewhere... I'd like to know myself. I bet it would be pricey, though. |

How about XB wheels, I'm guessing the front would require a complete front end conversion because of the ZTL brakes, what about the rear, is it an easy conversion. |

Can and has been done, do some diggin' here or in the KV, or maybe someone will be nice enough to post a link for you. You are right about the front end though, seems to be the best to do clamps, forks and all. Jodie has a thread with a S3 conversion that's pretty slick, his is a bit more than just put the wheels on though. -Mike (Message edited by littlebuggles on July 18, 2007) |

IIRC, the tubers with magnesium rims, those WERE made my Marchesini.... so, its possible... I will do a little more digging, unless someone confirms before I find it.. Court... Chase} |

No magnesium rims--originals on early bikes --S-2,S-1, etc were Marchesini, but alum. Several companies made wheels for the tubers but good luck finding them. Sleez has a set of Dymags and I have a different Marchesini on the front of my S-2,having tough time finding a match. Only 5.5 readily available is the PM that come on them. |

don't forget that PM also made some "aftermarket" varieties of the same wheels that were optional...they had different spoke patterns than the option PMs. i'll see if i can scrounge up some pics....oh yeah...the Dymags are sweet!!!! |

Hi. PVM in Germany makes some great, but expensive wheels in mag or alu for tubers. They can make them to your specification. http://www.pvm.de/w/d/mo/products/raeder/liste.htm
![wheel](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/295651.jpg) They offer many different stiles. This is just an example. Only the aluminium wheels are street legal in Germany. Ralph (Message edited by xldevil on July 27, 2007) |
