In a word, Rainman, yes. That is what is happening. It's absurd, but it's why we have all these stupid names. Better not to have a name than a stupid one like "Sephia"! |

Rainman... Bingo! Trademarking a name is very expensive, time-consuming... make that a waste of time. Plus, the biggest of companies make mistakes. Zample: the Chevy "Nova". Imagine how No va plays in hispanic-speaking countries. "Volvo?" = I roll.Years ago I lived in Asia. The American compound I was part of imported Toro lawn mowers. Problem? "Toro" in the native language meant..uh,, "vagina." No matter how diligent a company might be, someone always finds the word somewhere in an obscure language, then files a class-action suit. The high-tech industry has gotten around this problem by "manufacturing" names that mean nothing. Dream on re renaming the 1125R. |

Just pull a "prince" and give it a goofy symbol. That's what he did to get around the fact that a record label owned his name, when he left the label he could not even use his own name... All joking aside, I rather like 1125R - works fine for me. |

You could do Akula, which is Russian for shark, but was pirated from Japanese transliteration. It does look a bit like a whale shark |
