Nighthawk 550 in excellent condition. 20200 miles Chrome and paint in great condition. Asking $1800, or $2000 with all extras I bought this bike in 1999 from a friend of the family. It needed some TLC, but after a little work it has been my daily commuter for the last 8 years. I rebuilt the carbs and replaced the clutch plates in Nov. 2005, which made the bike run better than ever. The fork seals were replaced in 2004, and the installed fork shields have kept them leak free. It has an aftermarket UNI foam air filter, which can be cleaned and re-used for years. It has engine guards, which protect the cases and make a great place to mount highway pegs. The charging system is 100%. It starts and idles with a quick push of the button. It gets 45+ mpg driven in-town with a heavy wrist. It would get better mileage if I drove slower. It has plenty of power for any situation. I have personally seen 110 mph on the speedo, but only once. The only reason I am selling is I bought a 2003 XB9R and it is time to devote my passion to a new mount. This would make a great starter/intermediate bike, or an excellent gas saver during the spring/summer/fall. The only easily visible flaw is a small dent in the gas tank, about as big across as a man's last pinky knuckle. It shows up very clearly in the pictures due to the lighting, but is easy to miss at a casual glance. It has other signs of use, but that is the only one that sticks out to me when I wash it up.
