So, what would constitute a bad TPS reset? |

You obviously did not read my post but allow me to clarify. I want to find a dealer or shop that actually gives a crap as to the work they perform and will perform a TPS reset correctly. |

I didn't read your other post, I just bought a 9R from Chandler with all the bells and whistles. I'm putting the race kit on mine and will need the same reset done. What do you mean by a bad reset, or are they just giving you the runaround. |

I went to chandler for the 1k service and they didnt do it. OR the primary adjustment... I'm in the process of getting my money back from them. As far as I know, there are NO trustworthy dealers in Phoenix. |

I bought my bike from Chandler and have found myself having to speak face to face with the service manager twice now. They heavily discounted the bill afterwards...Ridiculous! |

I am sure that if you do a search you may be able to find someone in your area that has the cable and software. I remember a thread last year where most of the local owners were posting if they could do it or not. I would help you out for free but Houston is a short trip away. |

Damelton, I did read this post, however I was confused about what you were asking. See, the reason I asked is because I went ahead and bought the software and cable and did it myself. I followed the instructions, and my bike runs fine. However, there could have been something that I forgot, or some other maintenance outside of the instructions that I was not aware of. I am new to working on my Buell, so I know that there are about a million and one things that I can learn. Based on your question I wondered about the possibility of messing up a TPS reset, and was trying to find out what the symptoms were so that I could compare any of these symptoms to how my bike runs now or after future TPS resets. If there was another post that you were referring to me not reading, no, I did not read it. Sorry that you found my question redundant. |

Mesa_Cityx- How did they not do your service? and How did you figure it out? That sux bigtime. I've had my "conversations" with the head honcho, and told him what was up before we finalized my 9R deal. We'll see how that goes. They have it now for some warranty stuff. Bets on how long this will take? I was told today about a place in Mesa who works on all the police bikes. PM me and I'll get you the info I was given. |
