I think it could be a clogged breather passage, but a simple bad or failed seal is more common. It doesn't necessarily mean some outside thing caused the seal to fail, sometimes they just go bad. It should be pretty simple for them to verify if the breather tubes are "breathing" properly. Hope you get fixed up correctly and quickly. |

Note that the transmission oil level should be checked with the bike sitting upright & level, not on the kickstand. Yep. I read this in the owner's and service manual. This alone isn't a big deal, but it was a bad design to make it so a cover has to be removed simply to check the transmission oil. This makes it a PITA to check and you pretty much need an extra person. I wish they would have just added a sight glass! |

Time to buy some stands! Everything is an opportunity to buy more tools. |

I'd have to get a front and back stand so that the bike is level. Or I could get a jack. But this shouldn't be needed for a simple maintenance chore like checking the oil level... |

Good grief! If your problem solving matched your bitching capacity, all world problems would be eliminated. Just get a rear stand and inspect your tranny level. How hard can you make it? Does Buell need to send someone to hold your hand or wipe up? Do you have a service manual? Please get one. This bike is extremely simple to work on and can be done while drinking a beer. I think you can do it.

Listen, if you don't want to read my opinion then don't. I think my gripe is reasonable. How often do you have to put your car or truck up on jackstands and take off the bottom pan to check the transmission fluid level? I do have a manual. And I read on this site that you cannot check the transmission oil level if the bike is on a rear stand only. |

07, Your bike is under warranty and it should go back to your dealer. If you are not satisfied with the dealer that did your service then you should maybe find another. This if indeed is baffling you this much it should looked at by the dealer you bought the bike from and they should honor your request to look into the issue at hand alittle more in depth. |

If it under warranty why would you be spend all your energy yakking here? Use your warranty and take it to the dealer. 07xb12scg "I have a problem" Dealer "Oh, what is it? Let's get it fixed......" Lather Rinse Repeat |

It will go to a dealer. The problem, as we all know, is that dealers usually don't have the best mechanics, especially for Buells. I like to get some information and possible solutions before I take my bike in for service or problems. I also like to see if my problem is an isolated incident or if it's common. These are the reasons I asked on this and other forums. |

From what I can see you have been asking questions regarding this since June 23rd. Thats 19 days just on this sight alone. Get the bike to the dealer and stop messing around. I and any way or anyone on this sight would continue to ponder on the problem. It would be fixed by now.Sheesh!!! |

Wrong. If I took my bike in on June 23rd it would still be in the shop if I didn't have an appointment. Warranty work makes no money for dealers and so it comes second, at least in my experience. On top of that, they are clueless about Buells. |

This thread started June 23rd. So that means you have had this problem maybe even prior. You came to us for logic, experience, and opinion. So far none has been good enough for you. Dealer's get paid for there warranty work just not by you. If you don't feel comfortable that your dealer isn't compitent enough to work on your Buell then find another... simple as that. I would have had my bike fixed long ago in your shoes. Court isn't even posting on this thread anylonger...its starting to be comical if anything. |

Would you like to say it again? And what makes you think none of the opinions on this thread have been good enough for me? I can go to a "close" Buell dealer (if you consider 40+ minutes close) or I can go much farther away where they don't even stock Buells on the floor... Court gave me his opinion and maybe he doesn't feel the need to chime in again. Just because he isn't posting on this thread anymore makes it "comical"? If there is something comical on this thread I'd love for you to share it with the rest of us. |

Comical in that the world owes you a dealer close by and that you have made a mountain our of a mole hill. How do you function with real problems? I haven't seen you on the vaginal yeast infection boards but have seen you on every Buell site except SACBorg. BTW the vaginal yeast infection boards is a made up term, so if you have been there I apologize.

I think I know Court enough.LOL If you can't get a good opinion on the Board or any other for that matter you better sale the bike and buy another 2 stroke ATV. These boards have solved many more problem's then your's. Yes the thread started June 23rd glad the ear's are cleared. |

I'd love to make certain the bike is correct. But, in all candor, absent actionable facts and information, and given preponderance of chaff I'd have to use my time to wade through to even determine what the problem is, "hoping" is about all I can bring to the solution. Somehow in the last week, I've managed to quickly resolve Buell problems from Tel Aviv Isreal to Spokane, WA and even ( a real feather in my cap) get my semi-annual scolding from 3700 Juneau . . . I'm not even sure there is a problem. If there is I assure you this is one of the most produced and well known motors in the history of motorcycles and, if nothing else, they fix easy. Court |
