WOW.. Talk about a huge difference. I just replaced my stock exhaust with a V&H SS2R exhaust. Took it out for a run, and I immediately noticed a big difference in performance and acceleration. Still going to take it easy on it this week, and I plan on re-jetting this weekend. |

Congrats! The exhaust is the most bang for your buck of any single modification you can make. |

I don't need wheels, I need a piston, probably +.005-.010, and someone to bore a cylinder..LOL The guy that turned the cones for my balancer charged me too much because it was the first one and he had to buy a inside cutter of some sort, you can buy the entire rig online for around $60. I will ask him again what he wants to charge for a set if you want. |

Just thought I'd ask you first as I've seen the balancers for $60 so I figured it'd be a fair trade. I'll just order one online unless he can do it for less than $60. I've got people to bore the cylinder ($30) and a piston but I'm sure it'd be cheaper local. 10.5:1? |

Question about rear bearing. The recent talk about them might have made my butt paranoid. Sometimes it seems like the rear wobbles ever so slightly. It happens on straights and or corners, not predictable. When I got off it tonight I tried to move the rear tire side to side and it was firm as could be. Bike has roughly 2000 miles, I figure thats way too soon for a bad bearing though. Ideas? or is my butt just acting up on me? |

Yeah, stock tires. I felt the tire start to slide out last night after posting this. So I'm guessing that might be the culprit instead. Guess it's gonna be time to get some Avons this fall |

Vortec57, you are so going to like the Avons! Get them now and go out and roach the Dunlops till they pop! Juggalo94, thanks for the offer, I have a couple of good shops around here that my buddy Darren uses(the guy that came up to Hardcorps cottage with the Fatboy) And since the Big Kids Blast is apart if I could find an XB front cylinder??????from a 9?????Anybody???? One of the perks of my job is to hang around tourist destinations, the owner of the trolley I was inspecting let me take his Italian girlfriend for a spin.
Big difference from Hardcorps XB, heavier on the handlebars, and the motor was so not smooth, I didn't rev it over 6000rpm (It only had 280 miles on it) and it just seemed so rough and not there, no torque, even though it did gain velocity in a very efficient manner. |

Soon as the $$ is there (heading back to college) the stock tire will become a sweet burnout mark somewhere |

Swampy-you meant front cylinder head, right? Look around in the Badweb classifieds and Sportymark says the XL '04 is the same head (with breather hole-which could be used as an extra tiebar brace mount). They are out there! |

Yes, a front would be nice, bolt on, and ready for cams! Here is what I did last week, while goofing off in the UP. A Pegasus siting:

I had my riding buddy, Darren who builds the killer Harleys(his 7 year old son is named Harley)(and his wife never smiles unless she is on one, she also referred to herself tonight as Darrens "Back warmer")look at the piston that came out of the Big Kids Blast, there is a crack in the skirt on the exhaust side, and the wrist pin has been driven against the wrist pin clips causing a burr to develop on each outside hole of the pin bore. I have built alot of car racing motors with full floating pins and have never seen one do this. I am thinking a wrist pin bushing also. |

idiot drivers, the little 20 year old punk running me off into on-comming traffic ON PURPOUSE (looking at me with the middle finger up) took the cake. im sick of sharing the road with morons and punks, I tryed to kick in his door but I was paying more attention to the oncoming traffic as he pulled away. I'll ride again, but only if its on a vmax or xb9 |

you know how is snowballs EZ, first its the intake and exhaust... then its rejetting the carb, then its a cam, which leads to a 515 kit, then stage three heads, then a more aggressive cam, better exhaust, Ignition, then a mikuni42. does it ever stop? I'll probably do the b50 and 515cc kit this winter, and then the stage2 heads and se550 cam the next, if the 550 fits, I really dont want to split cases |

With the better head work the SE550 should fit no problem - since it is stock on the XBs. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |
