Pay off the loan and go with liability only. Much to the dismay of the HD financial guy at my dealer, I paid cash for the XB. My personal stance is if I need to finance a "toy", I don't have any business having that "toy." Problem is as I get older, my toys keep getting more and more expensive Oh, I did switch to liability after the rates doubles a few months ago. Thinking about adding comprehensive back as it still seems reasonable. The collision is the killer--I can't believe how much for a bike that probably isn't worth more than $5-$6K right now and is cheap to repair compared to most other "sportbikes". |

Problem with considering the XB "Cheap to repair", is that it is fairly easy to hurt the frame (in comparison to other sportbikes), which almost guarantees totaling out the bike. I'm a 21 year old male with 2 speeding tickets on my record. Yeah... insurance hurts. |

For the XB...buy a frame puck, it covers the cosmetics. We've had some pretty good XB slides and still no punctures. For the 1125...I just printed and read the Cycle World article, and it mentions the radiators are mounted on leaf springs. Wow. Not much else you can do to help reduce puncture danger, other than putting it right behind the front wheel...exposed to any and all road debris. Like an onion...every layer I hear about on this bike, the more I like it. Can't wait to ride one! |

I was told that Buell worked together with insurance companies when they were designing the bike to keep the specs within a limit for lower insurance. I have a zx7r as well and my insurance for the new 1125 is cheaper than on my zx7r, I'm from canada though, not sure if that has anything to do with it. |

Recently purchased an 1125R and Progressive quoted $2491 for the 1125R and my 2003 XB9R. Nationwide quoted 1685 and Geico 1335 for same coverage. Looking for experiences (Good or Bad) with Geico and Nationwide. I'm going to drop Progressive but don't have experience with either carrier so I thought I'd ask... |
