I'm getting some rust on my muffler. Check out the pic. Sure would like to repaint it before it gets worse! What kind of paint will hold up to the heat AND take the blasting of stones and sand coming off the front tire?

Take some steelwool to it and then use some "Bar-B-Que" flat black paint. Does as good as the high price spread......... Charlie |

What charlie said. I hit it with an angle grinder and wire brush to clean it up, then black BBQ paint. Worked great on both my M2 and my XB9SX. |

wow, it came out awesome! check it out:
![painted](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/294333.jpg) I used bodyshop grade "scotchbrite" and soapy water to wetsand. That stock paint was REALLY thin. |
