Really weird- My cooling fan doesn't run and all I could find in the service manual is the protocol for fan always running. Additionally, my fuel odometer stays at zero. The motorcycle is an '07 XB12S. Any thoughts or similar experience? I have checked all the fuses and wires and everything looks fine. Hmmmmm |

I believe the fan is controlled by a temperature sensor on the rear cylinder head. Maybe it's disconnected. Don't know if there is anyway to tell if it's reading properly without a VDSTS. |

Littlefield, I was wondering if the VDSTS would give a temperature readout. |

Uh...If it's an '07 why not take it to the dealer for warranty work??? That way your a$s is covered if something screws up because of it. |

Your fuel odometer will always read zero until you drop below .85 gallons remaining in the tank. This is your reserve. The odometer will then start recording miles on reserve. Have your dealer check the fan. You could have a bad winding in the motor, a bad engine temp sensor, or switch. |
