Dago, you only think 600s suck because your XB is faster than the rest of ours. |

If the connector is melted, thats where I would start looking, especially for intermittent problems. One end goes to the VR, the other goes to the stator |

That's just not possible. His XB started as a black S model. Everyone knows the red R models are the fastest. |

Nope. I put red skins on it once. They slowed me down. But no matter what color it is, mine will always be the fastest. |

SoCal, regarding riding up to Laguna, you're not considering riding alone, are you? Two heads are better than one and three is better than two, etc. Worst case scenario when one bike has a charging problem, two bikes can keep riding by swapping batteries. There are going to be several groups heading out on different days and different times. I'm sure we all can arrange something for everyone and post ride times and meeting places on the BadWeB for everyone's safety on that weekend. |

Spike, thanks for the dyno charts. After looking at those I don't think I could buy a 600 without test riding one on the street for a while. I definitely prefer the big American V8 like power band of the Buell to a Vtec like one of a 600. Why isn't there more v-twin sport bikes made? It seems all you have is Buell and Ducati. Sparky, I'm not sure what I am doing about Laguna. The original friends I was going with backed out. It worked out for the better though since I'll be staying at the love shack now. I was planning on leaving Thursday morning and getting up there late afternoon. I'm flexible though so I'll see what pans out and would make sense to ride up with a group. |

I have to laugh at some of you guys. I outright told the truth as far as my experience goes and my post got voted 1 start by 3 people. I'm sorry I offended your precious Buells, but the truth hurts! I like my Buell, but it's given me a lot of problems in such a short time. It's not perfect and I can admit that. Some of you can't handle the truth. I have a 1991 Suzuki QuadRacer 250R. I've had it since I'm 14. It is 16 years old and has been ridden many miles off road where it has been jumped, bashed, beaten and has taken more beating than my Buell ever will. And you know what? I've had much less problems on that and it's a 250cc 2 stroke that is screaming constantly. Even to this day it's reliable. So why is it that a brand new Buell is more problematic than my 16 year old quad? Please, I'm begging somebody to explain this to me. |

Socal, I would concur the bad connector theory also. It gets hot and just looses contact. Mine melted the positive side, others have said theirs was the ground side. And yes just the action of you unplugging and plugging it back together might have temporarily cleaned it up enough to make contact again.
I bought replacement female terminals and a few extra plastic connectors and redid mine. If you need replacements let me know, you will pass right by me going to Laguna Seca or I can even bring some up with me when I come. |

If you're going for a new bike, strongly consider the Triumph 675. Awesome triple character and sound, good torque, not too cookie-cutter, Brittish, and looks amazing. Very narrow waste and sharp handling. That would be my next bike if I didn't like my Buell so much. |

Because the Buell knows you don't like it Quite the contrary. I love my Buell and that's why I am so pissed about it giving me nothing but problems thus far. If I didn't love it it would be much easier to sell which would rid me of all its problems. |
