I know it is 11 weeks and 1 day away, but, who is going to the AMA Races at road atlanta this year?? I was just perusing the site, and noticed that they now are instituting a helmet law in the infield.... I am actually suprised they didn't do this long ago. I also noticed that they now require you to purchase a "valid vehicle parking sticker" for licenced vehicles, but do not show how much this sticker costs. From their website: All licensed vehicles must purchase proper parking sticker before entering the gate. This includes Motorcycles, Cars, Trucks, Vans, and Motorhomes I have been going there for years and have never heard of them charging for a separate parking pass for cars. I guess I need to give them a call and find out how much it is. I would really like to be able to bring the bike with me to go for a saturday or sunday ride, but if they are charging too much, I guess I'll have to leave her at home. Every year they seem to make a new rule/policy that strips more of the fun out of the event for me.} |

Good luck Xbullet with your ebay auction. I'd like to run the Z50R this year at the True Grits Ralley. Found a big bore kit for the Z' that that will make it 81cc, WOW.... Ratyson, Helmet law at any event is good news, I can't believe they have't done it earlier. That kid that died last year in the tunnel while goofing off was sad. If only he'd had a helmet. There were kids riding pit bikes and Motards around the parking lots and pit row with no helmets at Barber during the WERA races. Roebling banned all pit bikes, 4-wheelers, mopeds because of a few Jack Azz's By the way, Yes... You can bet your Azz I'll be there. How about a tail-gate party with some burgers and beer like last year. (Message edited by shred on June 14, 2007) |

HELMET LAWS SUCK, IT IS MY CHOICE TO WEAR OR NOT TO WEAR GEAR! hey charlie... startin' to sound more like a 1%er than a 3%er. shred -- thanks for the wishgood. i'll know in an hour. the anticipation mounts.... that helmets in the infield thing is probably because of the drag racer (forget his name) that died in the pits. it was no more than two months ago. just movin' the bike around. no helmet, 5mph. freak thing. probably an AMA insurance thing. damn i hate frivolous lawsuits. what say we do away with all the laws protecting the stupid. only one problem with that. they'd all die and we'd have no one to laugh at. I just might show up for the races. I started watching them on TV while I was laid up, and it looks like fun. Russ, you can park your bike in my garage if you don't want to pay to bring it in the gates. |

hey charlie... startin' to sound more like a 1%er than a 3%er. No, I just dont like being told what to do, or how to behave, or how to keep safe by people who are trying to save the retarded from themselves. Remember, I grew up with no helmet law, I rode with no helmet, alot. I know the risk and would still take it today even with the knowledge I have. That being said I ride a lot differently with no lid on too, In all reality when it is your time to die you are gonna die, it is inevitable that you will. I dont fear death, I dont look forward to it but I have come to terms with the fact it can happen at anytime, anywhere for any reason. When my best friend died at the tender age of 21, I found my way......And I sure dont need some turd telling me how MY body should be handled in ANY situation, EVER! If you want someone to give you all the answer's to life and make all your decisions for you Cuba is a nice place, our current socialist govt. is already too much IMHO. Rant over... |

I really appreciate the gift Uncle Sanchez. It is going to be hard for someone to find us a cooler present. You nailed it. The Diaper Dude Diaper Bag is awesome! And it is my second favorite color. Man...Do you hear the words that are coming outta my mouth thoughts that are flowing from my fingers? This is getting weird. |

Diaper Dude Diaper bag? I wanna see a picture of this, and where to get one. EDIT:: I found it.. Man, that is a cool diaper bag.. I may have to get one of the skull ones. The closest I got to a 'manly' diaper bag was a black one.... with pink stitching. LOL Sanchez, Thanks for the offer for bike parking. I have a buddy that lives about 15 minutes north of the track, so I may hit him up if the price is too high. Our group (Camp WAHU), normally camps at the intersection (up the hill from the turn 5 area) just before the gate that leads out to the far end of the track. If we all make it out there, it would be pretty hard to miss us as we have a pretty large setup with banners and everything. (Message edited by ratyson on June 15, 2007) |

Stealth If you're going for the optimum #5, I would suggest a mess of polk salad. Expect to become acquainted with lots of #6 & #7 soon. I'm going to print that chart out and put it on the wall in my shop. My plumbers will really impress customers by rating their stool type. All these years, I thought it was ALL #2. |

Charlie, Don't blow a fuse...Take a deep breath of air. The 'Helmet law' is proven to save lies....Its a fact. The helmet law talk started about the race track events and with all the kids riding pit bikes and 4-wheelers and adults doing stunts and drinking while watching the races and etc. That their enforcing helmets in the infield and camp grounds as of before they didn't. I think after the age of 18 or maybe 21 it should be a choice if you want to wear a helmet. Thats what S.C does... I support that, So really what i'm saying is helmet law until 18 or 21, then if some stupid fool decides not to wear one and dies its one less body on the planet. IGNORANCE and ARROGANCE is a terrible mixture. Stupidity should be painful. By the way Charlie, will you make your son wear a helmet when riding dirt bikes on his own? Or better yet when he's a teenager and wanting to ride a street bike? I did some crazy sh_t when I was a young lad and very lucky too, but now that I have a son and a daughter I'll do anything to help them protect and improve their safety while doing dangerous sports. With all that said... I ride Nic' on the Z50R as you and several friends have seen me do in the yard. I shouldn't but I do. We've already been to cycle gear and tried on helmets for him and they don't have one small enough, but by the time he's 2 1/2 or so he will be wearing a helmet and when he's riding on his own he'll strap his helmet on every time or I'll kick his little azz. LOL... |
