So I cracked open my throttle control to see that the idle cable / throttle closing cable was frayed. Cool. I'll order up a cable from a trusty sponsor - American Sport Bike. American Sport Bike did a fantastic job of getting me cables at a reasonable price in a reasonable time. Problem is that, as it turns out, CA S2's have different throttle cables American Sport Bike doesn't carry the Ca specific ones. I figured I'd find a home for those other cables - so I'm not really bothered. So I headed down to my somewhat trusty dealership and asked for an idle cable for my Ca S2. 10 days and $30-ish later, they sent me the EXACTLY RIGHT CABLE - except that the thread on the cable is for the throttle / open side. I wanna ride my freakin' bike. Time for generic cable. -Saro |

When mine broke I went to the HD dealership and asked for a set of cables for a 96 Sportster.... they worked just fine. I replaced them both at the same time so there wasn't a mix up between open/close. |
