2006 XB9SX with only 548 miles! Valencia Orange Translucid bodywork swapped by dealer before sale. Bike has never been crashed, but was dropped from a stop in the driveway (how embarrassing!) Small scratch on exhaust. Minor scratches on hand guards. Otherwise in excellent condition. Bike has not even been serviced yet! It’s just been sitting in the garage. It was purchased in August 2006 and last ridden in late December. I’m just too busy with work and don’t have the time to enjoy it. This bike needs to be enjoyed!! Clear title in hand. What kind of price are you looking at? I stand about 5'3" so I am trying to find a bike that will work for me. Biggest problem I have is the seat height. Do you happen to know off hand what your is? | ||

From Buell's website: Seat heights: XB9R => 30.5 in. XB9SX => 31.4 in. XB12Cg => 28.6 in. XB12S => 30.1 But ground clearance is 3.55 in. for the Cg and 4.35 in. for the S. So the seat itself only provides a 0.7 in. difference, the other 0.8 is obtained through suspension settings. Compared to an SX, the Cg seat should bring the height to 29.4 (SX and S have the same ground clearance, SX' seat being 1.3 in. higher) XB12Ss => 30.5 XB12Stt => 31.4 XB12X => 31.8 If you could buy a Cg seat (should be around or less than $200, that's the price of the "select" seat) and install it on this SX you would get an height of 29.4 in. Better than a 12S but slightly worst than a Cg (but maybe the suspension settings can be changed to get the same end result). Ask around the forums (or ask a dealer) to see if anyone already did any of that (seat swap or suspension adjustments). I really suggest visiting a dealer though, because the seat's width is at least as important as its height. Bikes with similar heights can let you touch the ground with your feet in very different ways because of that. | ||

You're welcome, I tried to sell my XB9R to Mechanic96 but I'm not pushing for it. I'll just be glad for her when she finds the right Buell! (And she might be waiting for me to lower my price anyways  ). As far as low seat heights are concerned the XB9R is not that bad compared to the XB12 range, only the Cg and the S (bearly) beats it... But for someone that likes the looks of the Sx (I originally wanted to get one but I found that used 'bolt begging to be ridden home), it's worth spending a couple of hundred more to get the lower Cg seat IF it can be used on it (Still need to research that).
