went for ride yesterday at first i thought my rear brakes were rubbing but its not. I sounds & feels like there is something in the primary rubbing or dragging but im only noticing it at slow speeds. everything seems to be working fine when im shifting. I know im not getting into details with this but i can't between the v-twin vibration and loud exhaust its hard to give you any more info on whats going wrong. I can't even pin point that it is coming from the primary but im thinking thats where its coming from. Any help with this would be great this bike has been a money pit from day one and its starting to piss me off. |

If it is a broken primary chain adjuster you may be able to spot that by check the primary chain through the inspection cover (the small one). That piece was prone to breakage and replaced by an improved part around 2000-2001. If you have the original weak one it would be a good idea to replace it, failed or not. Lots of info in the KV on the adjusters. Jack |
