Regarding Mac-Pac breakfast. Sorry, it was last Sunday in the Monsoon rain we had. It is the 3rd Sunday of the month. I want to ride some tomorrow so if someone wants to ride a little in the King of Prussia or Valley Forge area just send me a message and maybe we can meet up. |

I'm going to try to make it out.Is there a specific starting point? |

Yeah, I guess I should have listed the starting point. It will be at my shop located at 550 North 5th Street, Bellwood, PA 16617. If you are going to "Mapquest" directions, use 600 North 5th Street as your destination address. My shop address, is new and doesn't show on some travel/directional programs. I have a lot of off street parking available, if you want to "trailer in". I also have a full shop, air compressor, welder, wrenches, VDSTS software, if anything should happen. I need to talk to the guy that runs a V-Twin repair shop out of the back rooms of my building to see if he would be available for any more involved work (tire changes etc). He's a younger guy, 30-35, is very Buell friendly and he knows his trade well. I only question his availability because of the Memorial Day weekend. He runs a business, so any work there would need to be paid for-don't expect it for free. |

Toona, Looks like I will be able to make it given some consideration from the weather. I may come west Friday and might stay in Ebensburg if not in Altoona. I need to get to New Millport in Clearfield county at some time as well. |

New Millport, as in right up the road from Kerrmore? That's where my mother's side of the family is from. The sign is now missing (last time through) but it was one sign post with "Village of Kerrmore" on both side of the same sign post. Gotta love it.

Al, as for lodging in Ebensburg, all I can think of is a Comfort Inn located right on Rt 22. It is close to a Wendy's, Mickey Dees, KFC, Wallyworld and Autozone. There is a large shopping plaza behind the hotel. |

Toona, Kerrmore, Yep I remember that name. It is close to what remains of New Millport. I am told that years ago it was possible to take a trolly to Altoona right from New Millport. This amazes me but I have seen the remains of the the road bed in the area. I guess at one time there was light rail service all over the place before the auto took over. There is a property I need to check on occasionally so I need to swing by. I think I am related to a lot folks in the area as a lot of my family came from there at one time. Yes, I think you are right about the Comfort Inn in Ebensburg. I stayed there once before. I was also interested in a little motel in Cresson that advertises itself as being for train buffs because in one night you can hear some astounding number of trains pass. Talk about making lemonade<grin>. My wife says the motel is now for sale. I don't know how she knows that but it would be fun to see what it looks like. |

Al, not sure on the Cresson motel. My mom's family name was Ross, hence the name on the street sign. We did our family reunions in New Millport for many years. There are also some nice roads in that neighborhood. Kermorr, I may have spelled it wrong before. |

Hey Hey, 3 cheers for 05MX! Congrats on the new ride. Where'd ya score the Uly? The closest dealer to you would be Horsepower HD in Williamsport, probably 50-60 miles away. Drop me a line anytime for a ride. You don't to wait for the Res Ride to get together. I ride to Clem's BBQ about every other week for lunch. I won't get to any of the Bike Nights at Quaker Steak until the end of May. Dan |

Toona, Yes, we had family picnics in New Millport years ago as well. Or it may have been a whole town picnic at times. I was pretty small and spent most of my time chasing crayfish in the creek and watching the baseball games when they happened. Family name was Norris mostly. As soon as I got old enough to get a motorcycle I would ride along behind the family car when we visited the relatives there. There are some interesting roads and the Fall foliage can be great. |

05mx, Sorry you will miss the ride. I have a Uly also and would love to compare notes with you. I particularly want to compare how your high and low beams align when directed to a wall about 10 feet away. Have a great time with the new bike, they are great. |

05mx, Glad to hear you got the bike you wanted. Clem's shouldn't be missed. I'll let you know next time I'm going up. Sorry, but my Lightning doesn't like offroading... Al, I can remember throwing M-80's in the creek behind the ballfield and watching the fish float to the top. My kind of fishing! I'll ask my mom about the Norris family, I don't recognize the name. |

Thanks guys, just had to ride the uly to harrisburg yesterday for work. It is so nice to ride a bike that can handle long road trips, remember I am used to riding dual sport dirt bikes. Miles are racking up a lot quicker than I expected on this bike. I figured I would use it primarily for weekend rides, and ride my drz during the week. Alchemy, I haven't had a chance to ride the uly in the dark yet so i can't comment on the lights. |

Dano_12s, I believe this is the closest hotel: Comfort Inn 814-693-1800. It is about 2 blocks from Marzoni's (all side streets) There is also a Hoss's Steak House, Wendy's and BK within walking distance as well. |

Ras, Do you want to take the back way up to Toona's again? If so we can set the meeting place near my house in case people need a break before heading out on the twisties. How many are coming from down that way? Here's another pic from sportsfest at Buell Williamsport. |

Here is the link for directions to the Res Ride from Chambersburg, PA to Bellwood, PA (toona) Last year this ride was a great warm up. Lots of twisties, some roads not the greatest surface, for the most part beautiful country staying off the beaten path. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0 &msid=114169156298290749453.000001129c2b119083782& ll=40.290002,-77.958984&spn=1.44345,2.554321&z=9&o m=1 |
