For those interested I installed the Free Spririt Soft Clutch form Trojan. With the reduced lever pull, I do not experience the arthritis pain in the thumb joint that was ever present when riding before. Now I can put off getting an FJR with automatic trans. for several more years. It was a simple install, and now feels like a hydraulic clutch. Just my 2 cents for others with pain or hand injuries. Now finace' wants one on her Scg. |

As far as a pic of the little lever thing there is realy nothing to see. It just uses one nut and bolts on the clutch ramp. Take the cover off (three screws), disconnect the clutch cable at the clutch, remove the clutch ramp, screw on the new little arm, reconnect the cable, reinstall the clutch ramp and set the screw (1/4 to 1/2 turn out from touching plate)adjust the cable at the cable adjuster in front of engine, put cover back on and ride away. Simple ten minutes at the most and nothing to see. And by the way, thanks for asking abut a pic of my fiance' |
