A truck hit his brakes and I hit mine. I locked up my front and went down. It was is if I was on something slippery but going back, I saw nothing in the road. Perhaps the tire wasn't warm enough or something. At least I was wearing my suit. Me: Swollen knee and a small abrasion on my wrist Suit: one dead suit and helmet. (face slide!) Bike: handlebars, tank cover, flyscreen, mirror, shifter, left turn signals. I was very thankful than no one ran me over on 95. The traffic was dense as it usually is. You should have seen the look on the cop's face when I suited back up and started the bike up again. These things really do crash well. |

Nate, Bummer, My bike is a ringer for yours, pre crash I generally lift mine in the garage not in a tree though (check profile) Glad to hear you were able to ride away. I had a similar crash in the rain, happened upon some grease on the road and low sided at about 10 miles an hour. I lost that damn shifter too, had to ride home in 3rd They fix almost as easy as they crash. good luck! (Message edited by mbsween on May 23, 2007) |

Might have a mirror for you, I think it's the stock part with the shortish stalk (blast version have longer stalk for less elbow view). Glad you are okay, local news today someone went down on a curve and slid under a SUV, wasn't a happy ending... Check yourself tomorrow, it took several days after my crash 'til we figured out I had broken some ribs. -Mike |
