Hammer71, That is a great pic, love the sparks. Are your plastics painted? They look much more yellow than Sunfire. I like it and I dig the yellow wheels. I've got a blk/amber 12R and have been thinking about swapping to the yellow plastics but Sunfire is a little pale against the gray 12 frame for my taste. | ||

^ Haha. It is the SLow model, notice the yellow spring on the rear shock. These pics kinda hide it. Thats the race exhaust, Its painted black. Looks 1239874 times better that way.  | ||

Yeah, in 03 it was an XB9SL. The lowered 9 version. But I guess they realized that when written out, it says XB9SLow. "Slow" isn't a good term to be part of the actual bike name.  The Scg was the new term, and it only comes on the 12 model since the 9S's were changed to 9SX's. I think 'cg' references 'center of gravity' Atleast thats the rumor. I thought that the lower suspension spring was yellow and the regular was blue. Thats how it was until recently atleast, because I know the newer ones have red springs (Message edited by altima02 on May 20, 2007) | ||

I see. Thanks for the explanation guys. I did see a photo of a Cherry Bomb XB12S on Buell's site and noticed the spring was blue and mine isn't. I thought it was just a preproduction thing and didn't realize it had something to do with the cg model vs the regular S. | ||

Xbjelly9s: The micron headers look good in black. IMO it would have been cool if you let the muffler polished for contrast, though. But you have a very nice bike nontheless. Aragasto: Is that one of those front exit exhausts. From the angle of the bottom pic it gives the illusion that your Ligtning is very short and you're sitting on the rear edge of the seat. I just wish your photos would be a little bigger and void of the watermark. | ||

Sam, It is ceramic coated. Got it done at a local place for around $100. Glitch, Someday i'll make it to N. GA mountains and see that bike in person! Had to work during March Badness.  | ||
