I'll probably need 5-10 at least, for the Wares and a few others who just deserve one for being great people... I plan on putting in the order for these guys by Friday, if you want one, speak up now, there might not be another run of these guys... Kristi is working on stickers too, so we'll have some stuff up about them soon. So, I see 50 total so far, and I plan on running 100. Who else is interested? Kristi, me 'n D are in for three. Alex, i know that patch #001 is up for grabs on the auction (for a stunning amount!), but i'm wondering if you'd be willing to autograph one of ours, too, when the order comes in. it'd be an honor to add that patch to our moto-memories collection. thank you to everyone who is helping out the Ware family, with special thanks to Kristi for keeping track of "general" donations, all the auction comings and goings, AND patch orders. it's not an easy job, and it's often a thankless job, and i hope everyone appreciates her help as much as i do. ok folks, looks like there are only 40 patches left - get 'em while they're hot!!! Certainly... This is from John, at http://www.silverbrook-mn.com/ regarding the very first Matt Ware Rides with Me patch: I really like your idea for the number 1 patch!!! Your request can only be considered to be odd in that it is the only such request i have had. I think it is a TERRIFIC idea, and of course am more than happy to do my part for it. In addition to the letter, would you think it is a good idea if i put a small 001 on the bottom of the sample patch only? There would be no number of course on the 100 patches, only on the first sample piece. It might make that patch more special (and valuable) if the people can recognize it as being the first one! After all, they won't be wearing the paper we send along with it. So there you have it. Not only do you get THE first patch, you also get the ONLY patch to be numbered and the first of the run to boot (wish we'd have thought of this all for the RANE ride, and I might still try to get that first patch from John). Is that cool or what? | |||
