Never mind the exhaust,If you buy a Buell BEWARE of the massive defect regarding faulty headlight assemblies which can (and have) caught fire on "R" models. All the way up to CURRENT models.. |

There is a search function that is pretty good at the top of the page. Here is the first of 306 threads that came up when I searched for 'exhaust shoot out.' http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/195830.html Here is the direct link to the exhaust shoot out that Al at American Sport Bike performed: ftp://ftp.americansportbike.com/outgoing/XB_Exhaus t_Shootout_Test_Report.zip Read through it and decide which exhaust would be the best for you. I chose the Jardine, and now wish I would have sprung the extra cash for a Drummer. |

Lots of good exhausts out there. It would help you decide if can find dyno test for the muffler you are interested in. I would bet the farm (if I had one) on the KV (knowledge vault) for that kind of information. |

''What that hell is that coming reaction'' Please...THIS is NOT the kind of attention our sport needs. We've enough bad rap. for the Harley guys' with "straight" pipes that police get a hard on for this kind of behavior. Please reconsider your right to be obnoxious. No loud pipes here,i do not want them to know i'm coming. Besides, you'll get that reaction from the flames coming out of your fairing/headlights |

Most likely you will get a lot of different responses. There are a lot of different variables that will affect performance. Based on which intake setup and how your bike is tuned plays a great deal on this. I'm a fan of Force Streetfighter as they get the "what the hell is that" responce, and they are plenty powerful over 3200 RPM's. There are some cans and header options,...but my preference to the Force setup is the stepped aspect, Every 6-8 inches it get a little wider so as the exhaust fumes cool and become denser it can still maintain it's velocity out of the pipe without getting bogged down from congestion, and they're ceramic coated so they cool nicely. The drummer sounds pretty badass for a can, but I really liked the tone from my old WileyCo can. "The Best" is always going to depend on what you prefer. |

Hey Ducxl...I fought for this country..And lost buddies..I have owned 2 harleys with drag-pipes..And i loved every second of racking the piss out of those pipes....If i want loud pipes i will put them on my buell/harley ..I have been to iraq twice..and am due to leave back for another 15mons..I think i have earned the right to cruise down American Streets with pipes that are LOUD AS HELL...BIG SMILE |

exhaust, headlights, all the same i guess......??????? my R with almost 18,000 on it could start on fire from faulty headlights(remove them). it could also blow a belt mid corner(might as well remove that too), have a peg break off while riding(get rid of those also). it could also be hit by a flaming meteor(get a force field from the enterprise). not sure what any of those things has to do with exhaust but hey i did save alot of money with geico(not) not that we need another exhaust thread, but thats what this is so, yes SOME people have had a problem with their headlights and that sucks the big one, heck mine could be alot brighter but thats life. it happens. deal with it and move on or get rid of it. by the way DRUMMER!!! there are louder ones(force, D&D) but good sound AND great performance. well... Hey Jackal62...I run the Drummer SS can with an open air box and race ecm on my '06 XB12Ss and let me tell ya, it turns heads every time and all the time. Deep and throaty rumble that just won't quit. If you're looking for the "what the hell is that" effect, I think you won't be disappointed with this combination. It's the reaction I get every time I ride and I love it. There's nothing better than seeing the look on peoples faces when they hear a definitive, loud Harley sound and they see a sunset orange Lightning Long. The puzzled look on their face is priceless. I'm with you...if you want loud and attention getting, then get it! Just my experiences and good luck hunting for the combination that will work for you! Also, thanks for all that you do for our country and I hope you have a safe tour of duty over in that armpit of the world, Iraq! |

I'd just like a straight, slip on replacement for the stock exhaust that has the exact same power and sound as the original (including the active exhaust servo) but is made out of STAINLESS STEEL!! What's with the cheap rusting metal they use now?? Or does Buell subscribe to the Harley "They'll just toss the stock exhaust anyway" mentality?? |

Ducxl, Please avoid making hyped up and misleading posts. The Firebolt headlights have reflective plating that degrades over time thus causing the headlights' performance to diminish as well. The hysterical reference to fire is unhelpful and misleading. |
