I got my t rex stands in today.. got both the front and rear up on the stands pretty easy...

went to try the front one with the extention for the triple tree and im having a hard time getting it down without the bike feeling unstable..

is there and easy way to do this without having a buddy help?

One thing - NEVER trust the rear to stay put when you're working on the bike. They tend to slide forward, lowering the bike til the tire is on the ground. Just something to keep your eye on. Happens to any non-spool type rear stand. Can tip over if you're not watching.

I put little wedges of wood under the wheels of the rear stand. These act like chocks and keep it from rolling. I use little pads of the non-skid material you put under a carpet on top of the pads that hold the swing arm to keep it from slipping.
