And to Imagine one has to pay 3000.00 To get it to look so ugly and ruin the whole bike period! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem =&item=320112686683&rd=1,1

Not my cup of tea, but it might be fun on a super straight road. Don't some of the folks in Fl. have those superwide tires on stretched out frames? |

Not for me either but I like it. It looks like a tidy bit of engineering and it's different. ....Fulgur. |

it takes a lot of engineering to make a Ferrari handle like a bus. |

Y'know, I'm all for wide tires. I don't like 'em, but if someone else does, why not! What I don't like about this is the fact that it looks SOOO homemade... doesn't complement the rest of the bike at all. ~SM |

the oil tank is the boxed in section in front of the tire. I don't like the whole idea, but someone is getting all worked up just thinking about putting a wide tire and extended swingarm on their bike, (maybe bracket racers?) so cut them a little slack guys. If we all liked the same stuff it'd be a very boring world wouldn't it? |

Turn your XB into a real Street Fighter Really? Does this guy even know what a Streetfighter is? All that extra unsprung weight and ridiculous wheelbase makes an ill-handling pig not a Streetfighter. The long wheelbase is good for drag racing, but straight line speed isn't exactly the XB's strength. |

"Your looking at the only fat tire conversion kit for XB Buells on the market!" No kidding? Wonder why? This whole "chopper" craze is really starting to wear thin. |

Swingarm is shipped in raw finish. Powdercoating or chrome available for additional charges. Wide wheel and tire and brake caliper not included in this auction. Sorry Guys I missed the fine print...! |

For some folks, bike handling is completely unimportant. I think this is a great option for someone who wants to take a fairly basic Buell and "chopperize" it. Buy a used XB for around $7,000. Add a $3,000 fat tire conversion. Throw in chrome wheels and tires, a little paint, and some stickers, and for less than $15,000 you have a semi-custom chopper. The vast majority of Buell owners bought their bikes for the handling and abhor the idea of doing anything to lessen that facet of our bikes. I can't imagine anyone wanting an extended swing arm/wide tire on their bike (saw one on a 2007 R1 today. Someone will buy this just like someone will buy the crap that the OCC guys put out. They will love it, enjoy it, and be as crazy about it as we are about our fully handling Buells. They can't imagine riding in rain, dirt, mud, at night, more than 50 miles, passing a bar, wearing a helmet, wearing any gear, turning. Different strokes. |

I agree. Different strokes for different folks. Personally, I think it is pretty stupid, I mean go buy a cusdumb sled if you want that. Buells are known for their performance first and looks second. I want my lightning to be 'pretty' but I want it to be powerful and handle well first. |

That's why I never understood lowrider Hummers.
Why would you take a vehicle that has pretty good off road characteristics and turn it into a vehicle that can't clear a nickel in the ground? |

Funny thing...We buy Buells' because they're different and you don't find one on every corner. Then we're(NOT ME i like 'em bone stock) obsessed with Bling, bling just so ours doesn't look like every other one on the road. So which is it? Are they unique or not?? I wouldn't change one thing on any of my Buells' because they're a perfectly ENGINEERED package? Great job Erik!! |

I don't have to add anything to my 9R to make it look different as I have yet to see another Buell here in Aurora/Naperville Ill. And that wide tire kit in simply moronic. May as well just buy a 'Busa or Gixxer and get on with it. |

There is an orange and white German XB running around with a 330 tire and it looks waaaaaaaayyyyyy better. It almost looks like a factory job. That green POS looks like crap though. |

I think were all getting it wrong. That swing arm is to make the Uly into a hill climber. I wonder if anyones done that yet. |
