I was filling up my tank at BP today. Minding my own business, when out of the blue I hear "Is that a Kawasaki?" I bow my head, sigh, and slowly turn around "What's a Kawasaki?" Now I know some people don't know bikes, that's understandable, everyone has their own thing. But how does an xb12r resemble a Kawasaki? And why would any half competent bike enthusiast think that it does? Why not ask "Is that a Suzuki?" or better yet (got this last weekend) "Is that a crotch-rocket?" |

It isn't personal. I think lots of folks are intrigued by motorcycles, but know absolutely nothing about them. Harley guy at my gym today was showing off his bike to a couple of other folks in the parking lot. One of them asked if it was an 1100. Why? It was the only displacement she had ever heard of. All cruisers are "Harleys" to the initiated. Think of yourself as a Buell Ambassador. Not only do you get to tell them that is isn't a Kawayamahondasuki, but WHY it isn't. |

The CEO of my company is from Germany, he asked me today if I made my bike myself.. Said, "You spelled Bull wrong". |
